I work collaboratively with clients to find creative, cost-effective solutions to current problems and protect their interests for the future. My clients consider me a passionate advocate and trusted advisor. I have a general practice, representing clients in business and corporate law, estate planning, probate, real estate, banktrupcy, and civil litigation.

I attended Drake University Law School where I was a member of the Drake Law Review and graduated with High Honors in 2007. I joined the firm in 2007 and became a shareholder in 2012. Recent honors include: Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2015 and 2016, and AJI Top 10 Bankruptcy Attorney of Iowa for 2016.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my family. I am also a founding member of the Des Moines Curling Club, serve on the alumni advisory board for Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity (Iowa Sigma chapter), and I am a small group leader and host at my church.

Peter did a fantastic job walking me through the overwhelming process of estate planning. He was patient and thorough when explaining my options and the long-term impact. Easy to work with

Peter has helped me set up businesses as well as dealt with personal matters including a will. Every time I deal with Peter the process is straightforward and very well laid out. I enjoy that Peter has broad spectrum in which he practices as that limits the other attorneys I would otherwise have to seek. He is always very quick to return an email or a call. Look forward to continuing to use his services.

Knowledgeable and Trustworthy

Peter helped walk my wife and I through the estate planning process. He took great care in helping us understand the implications of our decisions and think through different scenarios to ensure we were making the best choices for our family. Jack of all trades

I have used Peter several times including estate planning work for family as well as business needs. He has always been very responsive and timely in his work.
