The Best!
Jeff made this overwhelming process easy. He was always there to answer questions, and even played part psychiatrist on days I was having a hard time going through with the process.

Bankruptcy filing made painless
Wonderful man to work with. His attention to our case was outstanding. He made us realize filing bankruptcy doesn't make us bad people. His website is fabulous. It can answer just about anything question you have. And if you don't find it on there, I guarantee he will respond to your emails wit...
Agreed. Bankruptcy is a tool used by corporations like the entire American auto industry, most if not all major U.S. air carriers, even Wall Street went bust and we bailed them out! So for anyone to suggest consumers should hesitate to get their fresh start would be unreasonable.
"Jeff is an extremely knowledgeable attorney, both in divorce law and bankruptcy law. He develops strong relationships with his clients and strongly advocates for their best interests. His economical approach to practicing divorce law puts his clients needs first and saves them money. I strongly endorse Jeff!!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Jeff is an excellent advocate for his clients. A seasoned bankruptcy attorney, Jeff's comprehensive knowledge of the bankruptcy code allows him to effectively counsel clients based on their individual circumstances. Above all, he is an exceptionally nice guy."
"Mr. Mathias is amongst the best consumer bankruptcy attorneys in the country. His office incorporates cutting edge technology to provide the utmost service to his clients. He always has his client’s best interests in mind. Anyone contemplating filing bankruptcy in Iowa should definitely consult with Jeff Mathias. He handles personal bankruptcy matters in all Iowa Counties. and his website contains a wealth of information about bankruptcy. It is a tremendous resource to debtors and other attorneys in the bankruptcy community."
"Jeff Mathias and I are professional colleagues in the area of consumer bankruptcy representation. Although I practice in a different state, I have come to know Jeff through email, phone conversations and by reading his website articles and viewing his videos. Jeff is one of the few bankruptcy lawyers in the country who truly seeks to educate his clients about bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy alternatives so they can make an informed decision about whether to file. I have been in practice myself for over 25 years and I regularly review Jeff's site and I watch his videos. I have also had the pleasure of speaking with him on the phone to discuss recent bankruptcy law developments. He is knowledgeable, straightforward and approachable. I feel very comfortable recommending Jeff to any Des Moines area resident who is considering bankruptcy."
"I've worked and consulted with Jeff on host of issues. He is committed to get good results for his clients and goes the extra mile to do it."
"Jeff works well with his clients and has firm understanding of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy law. Jeff runs a very efficient practice providing a fresh start for his clients."
"Jeff and I regularly share professional news and information for the benefit of our clients. He practices in West Des Moines and I practice in Iowa City and eastern Iowa. Jeff loves what he does, which is helping people in financial trouble. He is a skilled bankruptcy lawyer, but is constantly working to stay current on changes in the law and law practice, which is necessary to remain at the top of the profession. Jeff strikes me as a practical lawyer seeking practical outcomes for his clients. While there are several good bankruptcy lawyers in the Des Moines area, when people are looking for a lawyer, I refer them to Jeff."
"I highly recommend this lawyer. He takes good care of his chapter 7 clients and gets their cases on file fast for a reasonable flat rate. Jeff has been an inspiration for me starting my own practice and is always givng me useful tips on being more efficient. Whenever I have a conflict and am unable to assist a client, I am always confident they are in good hands when I refer them to Jeff."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Not only does Jeff keep abreast of the most recent trends and changes in bankruptcy law, but he also takes the time to get to know the local bankruptcy trustees so as to better handle the particular requirements of each trustee. Such extra effort is very helpful for promoting his clients' cases."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. I've known Jeff Mathias for several years and found him to be very conscientious and capable when working with Chapter 7 bankruptcy clients."
