We hired Chad to help us terminate a guardianship and get full custody of my husband's daughter. The follow up was horrible and I had to harass him for action or responses. He sent another lawyer in his place for the mediation agreement and nothing has followed, now he doesn't even return my emails o...r calls. We have an open case for custody still and the mediation agreement that isn't working was supposed to be only temporary until the custody case. This was almost a year ago. I am going to look into contacting the Iowa Bar, I am at a loss of what we are supposed to do at this point.

As a family practice attorney, he was horrible. I had to threaten to turn him into the Iowa Bar Association just so he would get my divorce finalized. If you want a lawyer to represent you and take your case seriously then don't hire him. He has no trouble accepting your plump retainer yet can't hav...e the decency to return calls or emails.
