Strong, intelligent, and no BD

Colleen was amazing during my court duration. Always available and on time, she handled everything and was blunt and honest throughout each step. It was nice having someone in her profession who I felt I could have an open conversation with no matter how nitty gritty the details were. She is always p...repared and does not let anyone walk over her or her clients. If I even have any other legal issues she will be my go to.

Got the Job done

I hired Colleen to do an adoption for me and it was completed successfully, couple of sloppy staff paperwork issues that I had to pay for but hey it is what it is and I understand that. She did a good job. Since that time I have referred multiple people over, with one that I know for sure that wen...t through with hiring her, it was a divorce that was handled very well. Over a thousand dollars spent and thousands of dollars in at least one referral that I know of for sure. You would of thought with that type of relationship as a valued customer I would have afforded me a two (2) minute conversation with Colleen for one (1) question on a matter. That was definitely not the case when I called, I was told very mater-of-factually by Katie that even though I am 90 minutes away that I had to schedule an appointment and pay the $185.00 for an hour consult just like everyone else. It was like I was asking for special treatment or something? No just excellent customer service. The sad thing is, if Colleen would have told me, "you know what, you should come down this is something that can't be done in 2 minutes and we should go over it" I would have happily set the appointment and paid. It's unfortunate and it just rubs you the wrong way. In my line of work business is about relationships and I was under the impression that after you work with someone and bring them business you were a valued customer or at least appreciated. That is not the case here. It is very disappointing that her practice, staff or whoever doesn't value continued relationships, and if it is not her, it definitely reflects poorly on her. It is costing her future business. As I said good attorney and took care of business. So if you want someone to get in and get the job done and move on she is great. Skills are top notch, somewhere something is just lacking, that extra level of customer support that maybe the larger firms have, I don't know, it was just disappointing when you call you get treated that way. In the three (3) hours since with a two (2) minute phone call with another attorney I have found out that the minor issue did need some attention, I have made an appointment with that attorney and will be hiring that attorney. Business is all about Relationships, at least to some it is. No need to reply. A reply doesn't change the experience. Good luck.

TJ I apologize for any poor treatment you received. I value very much the relationships I have with my clients. Although there was obviously behavior that offended you, I hope you know that I wish you the best and hope that you and your family successfully get through what ever is before you at this time. Good luck.

Colleen gets your job done!

After a complete lack of representation from my first attorney I hired Colleen and she willingly picked up the reins. She worked continuously to rebuild the lack of trust I felt towards attorneys in general. She returned calls, e-mails, and responded To legal correspondence immediately. My case was ...settled in mediation within 6 months of hiring Colleen. She walked me through the process, gave good advice, gave me much needed support, and represented me to the BEST of her ability. I would recommend Colleen for ANY family law needs and I am happy to now call her my "friend". I am blessed to know that she will continue to represent me in my custody case as it evolves.

Colleen Markou was amazing!

Attorney Markou handeled my divorce case and did an amazing job! Colleen was tasked with a situation where there was a conflict of interest with my case and the judge in the county where my divorce case was to be heard. Ms. Markou, immediatly contacted the SCAO (State Court Administrative Office) a...nd had them assign the case to another county which worked out much better. I would recommend Colleen Markou and the staff at Stancoti and Associates to anyone with any legal needs.

Do Not Hire

I hired this attorney to file my divorce papers, things got messy and she basically let things slide after that. Her process server got assaulted by my ex and the process server was mad and she rather keep her process server than work on my custody case. She also did not file papers to freeze speci...fic assets right away allowing my ex to wipe out 22 years worth of my contribution to the family's wealth. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I have combed through my files to try to figure out who you are, to no avail. I have asked my process server if he was ever assaulted while serving papers for me, he has told me no. I can not determine who you might be. I would like to have the opportunity to speak with you relative to your complaints. I fear you have me confused with someone else.
