After hiring supposedly the best law office in Livingston county for my divorce and going through whole process as a devoted and loving father I just could not believe the outcome and after consulting with a few attorney's from Livingston county, them all saying it’s a fair outcome/deal for this county “this county is really hard on fathers” and having Judge Brennan (which I believe is disbarred and serving prison time now) it was a awful time! My ex had been arrested, I had a ppo put on her, tested positive for stuff and developed mental problems, etc…… I still could not believe it. One year went by and all my ex’s true colors started to show and my sons was suffering in many areas because of custody issues, I hired Susan, she looked at my case and could not believe it! Went back to court and she got everything that was fair and then some and then some more!!!!!! My worst mistake was not hiring her first! I have recommended her multiple times in the family law category and everyone has been extremely pleased with her performance!!

This attorney really helped me out when I was getting divorced and things were not looking to my favor. She guided me, stepped up to the other attorney and got me a fair divorce that otherwise I would have never been able to have due to my disability. She is really a stand up woman that I give many thanks to.

I was divorcing from an abusive marriage. Susan was by my side every step of the way at all hours of the night. She made me strong in a situation where I felt very weak. She’s very straight forward and explained everything every step of the way. Susan gave me my life back and I’ll always be in her debt for that.

Going in I had the impression that I wud have to sell my house which was 14yrs old, give up half of my pension, and pay Child support which none of the above happen. Susan went in and went to bat for me and got joint physical custody of my daughter so my marriage of 24 years was was granted in about 1 year and thanks to Susan preketes the divorce wasn't A complete loss for me.

Immediately, I saw a huge difference using this attorney over one used a few years back. The first attorney was more of a paper pusher, kinda like being represented by Eyore. When I first met with Susan and in subsequent times....she took the time to hear the "story" and was good with her feedback. During pre-court meetings with the other party....the bull-dog came out and it became clear that she was not one to mess with. She was also was wise in suggesting a very good mediation solution. Her assistant is very responsive via email. On "Motion Mondays"...the day can really drag out. I didn't realize that she had so many different cases on 1 day...so I was a bit frustrated waiting through the process. But once I understood the flow of the Genesee County Courts...all was fine. With everythig going on...I worried that I would be forgotten. However, she would seek me out at the right time, get updated by me on anything new, and then act with velocity in working it out with the other party. There are still a number of issues we need to work out, most should get addressed when we reconvene and adjust our long-term plan.
