Biography
Marco C. Masciulli is an attorney who knows what it means to be a client. Marco knows firsthand that the circumstances requiring an individual to utilize an attorney’s services can often be confusing and even intimidating. As an attorney, Marco strives to utilize the law to achieve his clients’ goals while aiming to simplify the law in order to provide his clients with clear guidance and necessary information required when making important decisions regarding both their personal and business well-being.
Marco has represented both plaintiffs and defendants since he began practicing law. He has experience at every stage of litigation including multiple jury trials. As a young plaintiff’s attorney with a Detroit medical malpractice firm, Marco settled multiple cases with six-figure dollar amounts and worked on other cases that eventually settled for more. He successfully challenged large medical institutions represented by skilled and seasoned lawyers with his complex and nuanced understanding of the legal and factual issues underlying each case. As a defense attorney with a large defense firm, Marco represented several of Michigan’s biggest insurance companies in civil suits. There, he helped successfully defend and dismiss claims against his clients, as well as recover attorney fees and costs incurred defending those claims.
His experience has taught him the importance of communicating openly and honestly with his clients about their particular goals. This is critical when creating an efficient and effective plan of action designed to put his clients in the best position to achieve their desired result. His experience representing parties on different sides of the courtroom enables Marco to thoroughly analyze a matter in order to better counsel his clients on the strengths and weaknesses of their case. This experience also taught him the value of dealing with the opposing party in a respectful, yet firm, manner.
Marco graduated from the Michigan State University College of Law where his peers selected him to deliver the commencement address at his class’s graduation ceremony. While in law school, Marco earned the Jurisprudence Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Family Law I: Marriage & Divorce after he obtained the highest grade in the class. After his second and third year of law school, Marco interned at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in the Mortgage & Deed Fraud Unit. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University where he was an active and involved member of the Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity.
