On the first meeting with him, he answered questioned that I had not even asked. He was very thorough in explaining how my case would work and he was right. He made me feel that he was qualified for the job and I could ask him any questions at any time once the case started. He kept me very informed ...about the case, showed up promptly for the court hearing, and represented my case well. I was referred to Douglas Kuthy in 2008 by another law firm when my company began having cash flow problems due to my bank’s extremely aggressive way of handling my loan. At the time I was told that Doug is an expert in debt resolution and bankruptcy. I have been very happy with Doug’s representation... for several years in state court, during my bankruptcy, and in my wife’s bankruptcy. Doug did an excellent job in litigating the dispute with the bank and kept them from interfering with attempts to sell the business and cure my financial problems. When I was unable to sell the business Doug took me through a personal Chapter 7 bankruptcy which resolved my business and personal debt problems completely. Doug was quite astute. His observations regarding the property ownership of my wife and myself allowed us to get through the process with no interference from the courts. Since we have been outside of bankruptcy Doug has given us excellent advice on how to rebuild ourselves and we are now out of the financial woods and own another house. We anticipate that we will be completely debt free within a couple of years and own our home outright. In short, Doug has excellent “people” skills, clearly knows debtor creditor law, and guided us through a complicated financial situation with skill and good humor.
