1. Lack of attention to detail - Summons and complaint had the names for both parties and nature of the case wrong. When asked, Tracey responded that the document was prepared by the court and it was not her fault. The document was prepared by her office on Bowyer, Midtgard & Nacy letterhead. I rec...eived emails with questions that were clearly for other clients and had nothing to do with my case. Grammatical and numerical mistakes on the proposed agreement sent to other party, as pointed out by other party attorney. 2. Lack of counsel - I was overseas for a large portion of my case and I expected my attorney to counsel me on a strategy, or game out a plan for my case accordingly. This did not happen, I had one actual conversation by phone while in the US with Tracey. After that every other conversation or question I had was met with the answer "Nothing can be done until you are back in the U.S." The attorney that I retained after Tracy proved that this was very wrong as most of my case was resolved while I was overseas. Dealing with Tracy and her law firm in general was very transactional. Normally this is ok with me, but I wanted to be educated on what my options were, not just told "there is nothing you can do now." I finally reached a point were I was getting more actionable information from the internet than from Tracey, at that time I decided to transfer my case over to a new attorney. 3. Completely disinterested in helping me attain a desired outcome. Aside from the lack of counsel and explanation, she presented me with zero options. In my opinion she was following the steps to end the case as soon as possible even if it was unfavorable for me. Which actually happened, when I presented my new attorney with the original agreement that I had proposed to Tracy, he quickly informed me that it was a bad deal for me and educated me on how to achieve a better outcome. I never received any feedback from Tracy which is what I believed attorneys where supposed to do, to counsel you to get the best favorable outcome possible. In conclusion, I do not recommend this attorney or legal group to anyone. They do a great job of marketing and the sales call with the partner was great but the execution was terrible. The attorney I retained after Tracey; educated me on the laws, counseled me on a good strategy, and was able to get me an outcome that is at least double as good as what Tracy was going to let me agree to. Which is what I expect from a professional. Don't waste your money on Tracey Kane.

I met Tracey and Jon, both extremely professional. I explained to them that my ex-wife and I had reached a different custody agreement than the original almost 10 years ago. Tracey wrote it all up, filed the motions, and now I have the majority custody of my son. Don't waste your money or her time wi...th unnecessary emails or phone calls, if you hire Tracey have faith she is fighting for you and things are getting done.

Tracey worked my case from day one. I started with no rights to my son and ended up with ~50/50 which is all I ever asked for. She promptly showed up to every court date (which seems to be a problem with some lawyers). She didn't back down from ridiculous demands from the opposition, she kept expecta...tions realistic, shut down lies and false accusations, compromised when it was in my best interest. When my sons mother wouldn't allow me to see him, she got an interim hearing for custody until the case was done. I did NOT have to contact her daily/weekly or monthly bc she was actively working the case. She replied to my emails in a timely manner and contacted me directly with new updates. She never wasted my time just to get more billable hours.

During a divorce, there will not be a good solution for everyone. Tracey helped keep my focus on what was important and what the real cost would be. In each step of the process, she was able to advise me and give realistic insight as for my best hope compared to realistic worst case expectation. ... Unfortunately the law is up to the courts interpretation but I feel I did get a benefit by Tracey's support on my case. My previous attorney had been a life long friend of my father's. Tracey was able to greatly improve the botched outcome from the first attorney.

Shes not a babysitter. Expect her to be your attorney and represent your best interest. In the event of a child being involved, expect nothing but her focus on maintaining you child's well being. Even if your opinion on what is best does not coincide with hers, she will still make sure you do what is... best in the long run. After the divorce was finalized and everything calmed down, looking back I see the big picture. I cant be happier with how everything ended. I have almost 50% of my child in my life and was able to secure my life going forward financially because of Ms. Kane. She never lost her composure and I always felt like she was in control. Even if things looked bleak on my end. Me and my son now have a life together and I am fully involved in his life because of what Ms. Kane did for me. I went through a roller coaster of a divorce, she was definitely my seat belt through the entire thing.
