All sales, lack of actual counsel

1. Lack of attention to detail - Summons and complaint had the names for both parties and nature of the case wrong. When asked, Tracey responded that the document was prepared by the court and it was not her fault. The document was prepared by her office on Bowyer, Midtgard & Nacy letterhead. I rec...eived emails with questions that were clearly for other clients and had nothing to do with my case. Grammatical and numerical mistakes on the proposed agreement sent to other party, as pointed out by other party attorney. 2. Lack of counsel - I was overseas for a large portion of my case and I expected my attorney to counsel me on a strategy, or game out a plan for my case accordingly. This did not happen, I had one actual conversation by phone while in the US with Tracey. After that every other conversation or question I had was met with the answer "Nothing can be done until you are back in the U.S." The attorney that I retained after Tracy proved that this was very wrong as most of my case was resolved while I was overseas. Dealing with Tracy and her law firm in general was very transactional. Normally this is ok with me, but I wanted to be educated on what my options were, not just told "there is nothing you can do now." I finally reached a point were I was getting more actionable information from the internet than from Tracey, at that time I decided to transfer my case over to a new attorney. 3. Completely disinterested in helping me attain a desired outcome. Aside from the lack of counsel and explanation, she presented me with zero options. In my opinion she was following the steps to end the case as soon as possible even if it was unfavorable for me. Which actually happened, when I presented my new attorney with the original agreement that I had proposed to Tracy, he quickly informed me that it was a bad deal for me and educated me on how to achieve a better outcome. I never received any feedback from Tracy which is what I believed attorneys where supposed to do, to counsel you to get the best favorable outcome possible. In conclusion, I do not recommend this attorney or legal group to anyone. They do a great job of marketing and the sales call with the partner was great but the execution was terrible. The attorney I retained after Tracey; educated me on the laws, counseled me on a good strategy, and was able to get me an outcome that is at least double as good as what Tracy was going to let me agree to. Which is what I expect from a professional. Don't waste your money on Tracey Kane.

Rude and condescending

I have been familiar with the employees of A.D.A.M for 15 years before I needed to utilize them. I first was setup with another attorney until she had to go on a maternity leave. Not only did I have to pay to have a meting to get aquainted with the new attorney but this new attorney Tracy was the rud...est most difficult attorney I had ever worked with. I felt as if she was working with the wrong side which should have been an easy custody case to handle. She would scream at me on the phone and was always so rude and moody. I would never recommend Her for the unprofessionalism alone.

Don't believe the hype

Let me introduce you to Mrs Tracey Kane of the A.D.A.M. Attorney group. Specializing in divorce and child custody. Well that's what the radio ads lead you to believe. Strike 1 Lack of communication. Mrs. Kane did not return calls at a timely manner or emails. But every time she was in my presen...ce she was typing away on her iPhone. Strike 2 No case prep Mrs Kane did not discuss any steps in the process and treated my case as a formality. This led to a hearing infront of a referee and me discussing police reports filed against the other party and certain parts of my finances. After the hearing she tells me "I didn't want you to talk about those things." Well it would have been nice if you spent 5 minutes going over what you wanted me to say. You are my attorney. FOUL TIP Speaking of police reports. The other party came to my home and stole numerous items, including items related to my business. I attempted to contact Mrs Kane, she did not return my calls till two days later. Mrs. Kane's response "if it was so valuable it should have been put in a safe." So my own items secured in my home are stolen and that's my fault. Strike 3 In a moment of clarity me and the other party worked out a fair agreement. I emailed her Sunday evening and called her voicemail telling her I need this agreement put into legal terms, I don't care if I have to pay double but I need this Monday evening to get the other party to sign. I had already explained how chaotic the other party was and how her mind changes like the wind. We can get this done tomorrow. Mrs Kane returns my email Wednesday telling me she'll look at it tomorrow. Well she doesn't return it back to me till Friday basically cutting and pasting my document into a generic agreement which basically contradicted each other. I call her and basically ask her what are you doing we can have this done and your just extending this out and I asked for this 5 days ago and you send me something that looks like you spent 5 minutes on. Really...didn't matter anyway when I finally got the correct document the following Monday the other party had buyers remorse and refused to sign. Mrs. Kane was a joke of an attorney, because I know now what a responsive, attentive, and a fighter is now. If I didn't fire Mrs Kane I would not have full custody of my son.

"I endorse this lawyer. Tracey is brilliant and has extensive knowledge of family law. She is a tough adversary who fights hard for her client, but her ethics are above reproach. We have had several cases together, and it was a privilege to "duke it out" with a worthy opponent in a fair fight. I truly believe this is the best possible situation for both parties to achieve a good result."
