Best Attorney in America

Neil Rockind is hands down the greatest attorney in America, not just Michigan. I was recently dealing with a terrifying case in Oakland County, which most people know, is one of the most notoriously difficult counties to fight a case against. However, those odds significantly started to lean in my f...avor once Neil was on my side. In September of 2022 (Labor Day Weekend), the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department NET raided my house (they had a warrant based on a letter written by a miserable, vindictive woman with a grudge and a trash-pull) and found a significant amount of drugs, scales, “packaging equipment” and a loaded firearm. This resulted in 12 felony counts (ranging from possession of cocaine with intent to deliver/manufacture to felon in possession of a firearm and everything in between). Since a firearm was present, each felony charge was also accompanied by a felony firearm charge (which carries a mandatory 2 year minimum prison sentence to run CONSECUTIVELY with any other sentence). In addition to all this, this certainly wasn’t my first rodeo. I have a rap sheet, including one felony conviction that resulted in prison time in the past. Naturally, I thought I was doomed, but Neil was able to save my life even with all the cards stacked against me. During the preliminary hearing, Neil expertly dissected the lead detective’s testimony in cross-examination, and caught him in several lies (which the prosecutor tried to save by calling “mistakes”). However, the judge was able to distinguish between a lie and a “mistake”, so he dismissed two charges after the preliminary hearing, and even labeled the detective’s testimony false, untruthful, and unreliable. The detective ended up being put on the Brady/Giglio list, which ended up having adverse repercussions not only for the state’s case against me, but for his career as well, since his testimony can now be called in question in any case he was/would be a witness in. This obviously presented serious problems for the prosecutor, and after filing a failed motion (Neil also won the motion argument the prosecutor filed trying to save their case), the prosecutor had no choice but to enter plea negotiations with Neil. After over a year of stressful fighting, Neil was able to secure an extremely favorable plea deal for me. This deal was that the 12 counts would be dismissed in exchange for me pleading guilty to a simple felony possession of cocaine less than 25 grams. Neil also secured a Killebrew Agreement with the prosecutor in which the judge guaranteed straight probation with no jail or prison time whatsoever (which is almost unheard of in a case like mine with the charges I had stacked against me). Having Neil on my side was truly the difference between serving several years in prison and getting a simple probation sentence with no incarceration. Neil is literally a Godsend. Some people are just put on earth to do certain things, and I wholeheartedly believe Neil was put on this earth to defend people, and he does it incredibly well (better than anyone else). Needless to say, I prayed every single day since I was arrested, and I truly believe God worked through Neil to win this case. For anyone that has been on the wrong side of the justice system and has sat in those court rooms at the defense table, you know how terrifying it really can be. However, having Neil at my side felt different. I had a feeling of confidence walking into those court hearings, like I was truly protected by Neil Rockind and his team. I’ve honestly never felt more at ease and more protected in a court room than I did with Neil Rockind standing next to me. No wonder why they call him the Rockweiler. He is truly vicious if you happen to stand against him, and those he stands with are protected fiercely. Even at times when I felt uneasy or stressed (which is to be expected during a case like this), Neil was able to help me relax and rest assured that he had everything under control.

Underdogs come out on top!!

I recently just in the middle of a crazy case with Oakland county and as a business owner in a small community it was a up hill battle... I met with a few lawyers before meeting with neil rockind and thank god I did . Neil was solid from the beginning to the very end. His cross examination with the c...op was like better then any I've ever seen on tv. He not only knows the law better then anyone he goes against he fights to make sure they see the law the way it's supposed to be. After months of back and fourth .... evidence was suppressed and case was dismissed... manufacturing distribution intent to sell he best months prior then finished up the cocaine possession and felony firearms a few months later . Don't shop around or look for the right guy ... just go to google type in neil rockind get his number and put your mind to rest knowing your life is in the hands of the best !

Case dismissed!

I was charged with felonious assault and assault and battery. I just finished college with honors, and what I thought was going to be the best summer of my life ended up being a complete and total nightmare! I have never been in trouble with the law prior to this incident. I initially hired another a...ttorney from a different law firm that I discharged after meeting and talking to Neil in person. Looking back, that was the best decision that I could have made! I have always planned on going to graduate school, and if I were convicted of these charges, all of my hard work would have been for nothing. A lot of companies and schools will not accept you if you are a convicted felon. So, I felt like I had a lot to lose, and I didn’t want to take chances sticking with my first attorney. When I first met Neil, he was already strategizing, and tearing the police report apart. I also mentioned to Neil that I have a CPL, and I didn’t want to lose my gun rights. During the whole court process I expressed that I was not going to accept the prosecuting attorney’s plea deals (violent criminal charges) that would take them away, and Neil agreed that I should not accept them. Neil and his team (Colin, Noel, and Breanna) all worked hard on my case and they came through with amazing results. My case was dismissed. I will never be able to truly express my gratitude for everything that Rockind Law has done for me. I have my life back! I maintained my gun rights, and I plan on going to graduate school after taking a nice long vacation to recover from the stress of this whole ordeal. I will never forget Neil, Colin, Noel, and Breanna. Thank you so much for everything that you’ve done for me. If you’re still reading this...hire them already!!!

Acquitted on ALL charges!!!

I was client of Neil Rockind. I was charged with CCW, Felony Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. I met with Neil and we agreed that the only outcome we would pursue as it pertains to my charges would be an acquittal by jury trial. Neil Rockind appeared personally at every singl...e one of my hearings from district court to circuit court, spanning over a one year period. He never deemed a hearing beneath him, as some attorneys do, and sent another attorney in his place. He was diligent in his duties throughout and continued to impress me with his legal prowess and caring nature, time and time again. He fought for my freedom and for my life as if I were his own family and refused to allow me to fall victim to investigative and prosecutorial tunnel vision. He was well prepared and sharp as a knife for EVERY SINGLE HEARING. We ended up in trial one year after initial arrest. I was facing at least 6 years in prison and the possibility of losing everything that I'd worked for in my life. I can not put into words how brilliant Neil was during the course of the trial. He defended me with such passion and precision that I had no doubt he had done everything in his power for me to be awarded a not guilty verdict. That is exactly what I got...NOT GUILTY on all three counts!!! I owe Neil Rockind more than legal fees...I owe him my life. He believed me, he believed in me, and he fought for me like a brother would fight for a brother or a father a son. I could never in good conscience make a referral for a criminal defense attorney other than Neil Rockind. Neil is the attorney you want in your corner when your life is on the line and you want an attorney who understands that and acts as though he understands that.

"I am an appellate attorney. Normally, I am representing the losing defendant trying to overturn an unjust conviction. Quite often it is because the attorney made a mistake or neglected something. I've done six appeals from Neil Rockind cases. In five of the six cases I am fighting prosecution appeals because Neil won and the prosecutor was a sore loser. In the remaining case he lost (as did every other attorney I know who was running the issue), but today the Court of Appeals ruled that argument that trial judges were buying was legally incorrect. I fully anticipate overturning his one loss by the end of the year."

"I have had the unique opportunity to work for this lawyer as an associate at his firm and later work with him in representing co-defendants. One thing that has always been consistent is that he is undoubtedly one of the best criminal defense attorneys I have ever seen. He sets himself apart from the rest by fighting every single case that walks through the door. Neil's courtroom style makes him unforgettable. Combine that with his intelligence and experience, and he is untouchable in the courtroom. He has taken cases that I have thought there would be no way of winning and the cases were dismissed before even getting to trial. His tireless preparation and hard work pays off for each and every client. He's dedicated to the fight and doesn't give up, qualities that every defendant should want in their attorney."

Criminal defense lawyer | Jan 17

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. We triedn a horribly complex case together -- five defendants, six lawyers, two juries -- and he was brilliant. He was the only lawyer of all of us to achieve total victory: acquittal on both counts. Most others were convicted of all counts, my client of one only of those charged, but Neil Rockind's client walked out of court a free man despite evidence and two prosecutors' one sometimes using questionable tactics. In 42 years as a prosecutor and defense lawyer, I have never seen a lawyer work so hard and spend so much time preparing for trial, and while in trial, as Neil Rockind."
