Joshua Moore is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Federal Bar Association, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and the Stonewall Bar Association. Josh has been featured in magazines and books including the Detroit Legal News, ABA Journal, and in the book “The Opportunity Maker.” He is the recipient of many academic and service awards, including the Carl Rippenburger Award for outstanding service to young people in the community. In February 2011, Josh was appointed to the Southeastern Michigan HIV/AIDS Council (SEMHAC) by Detroit Mayor Dave Bing.
Josh received his undergraduate bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Detroit Mercy. He received his associate’s degree in liberal arts from Oakland Community College. Prior to law school, Josh was a full time social worker specializing in youth empowerment & services, foster care, and service to those living with HIV/AIDS.
Josh received his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During his time there he was the first two-term president of the Student Bar Association. Josh served in the misdemeanor criminal clinic, immigration law clinic, and interned at the Legal Aid and Defenders Association.
Josh credits his biggest accomplishment as being a single father to his five adopted children. Josh is also a proud licensed foster parent. He is a Detroit resident who has dedicated his life to bringing knowledge of the law to disadvantaged Detroiters.

Mr. Moore has had a long road fighting for my SSDI. One denial after another!! We won our federal case and and than had to go back to state! And after 12 years we finally won!!! I had a very tough case and he never gave up!! He is very kind and very informative too!!
