Misdemeanor Charge

I was charged with a misdemeanor and Jonathan Paul was the best attorney I could have asked for. He was extremely efficient and professional, making sure that I was always informed, caught up on everything with my case, and was there to answer every single one of my questions as soon as possible. Wit...h his help, my misdemeanor will now be non-public and dismissed. He was an amazing help and helped me gain the best possible outcome for my case. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Best Atterney ever

I was looking for an attorney to take my case. Jonathan was one of the first to answer without hesitation, even after hours. He met me on weekends and took his time to explain every step he will take and what I must do to help the case. He has answered every single question in record time, comfort..., and secured me that he is here to help. I had other cases, different attorneys, but Jonathan is one of the best. If anyone wants to get help, he is the only one I recommend.

Amazing attorney of serenity and metamorphses! Per aspera ad astra!

I contacted Jonathan at an extremely low-point in my life following a regrettable encounter with law enforcement. He replied within minutes to my initial inquiry, and after a brief but helpful discussion of about my situation, I had hired him. The rest is history! [Spoiler alert #1: he was able t...o work with the prosecutor to have my original charge entirely removed. Spoiler alert #2: such a positive outcome and fruitful symbiosis with Jonathan will take dedicated personal effort in combination with a genuine will to reflect upon the events surrounding your case and desire to improve yourself.] From that evening on, Jonathan (and his associate, Tiffany) acted as a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and pragmatic guides throughout the entire legal process. He is incredibly responsive, and his replies are both thorough and clarifying. He will demystify the ostensible legal labyrinth that may seem to lie before you as well as outline actionable steps you can take to begin improving yourself and your situation. Working with Jonathan truly feels like taking control of your life again, with the added benefit of having an expert, beneficent attorney to assist you if you falter. Jonathan is creative, patient, and respectful. He does not create a paradigm of "us versus them" or attempt to use gimmicks and loopholes to obtain a desirable outcome. Rather, he allows you to shift the focus of the case from the negative, isolated decisions you may have made to the positive aspects of your character, as well as your true potential and desire to enact positive change. He went above and beyond to achieve an extraordinary outcome in my case. As I mentioned in earlier, the original charge was dropped, and the penalty I faced SIGNIFICANTLY lessened. I will note, though, that such situations are not a game, and the process will take both accountability and authenticity. If you are willing to embrace reality and follow Jonathan's recommendations, you will not only likely receive a positive outcome in court, but also find ways to move past the events of your case and toward a refined, improved iteration of yourself. In short: I would HIGHLY recommend Jonathan!

It was a pleasure to get to know you and help you figure out the WHY on your case. Once we were able to tap into some of the underlying issues, we were able to develop the HOW and WHAT we needed in order to maximize the result. Keep up the amazing work!

Exceptional lawyer. Knowledgable and understanding.

I contacted/hired Jonathan when I was charged for first degree retail fraud (a first-time offender). I was really stressed about the impact the charge would have on my future as I am interested in the healthcare profession. Jonathan was very responsive to my initial contact (and all later contact). I...mmediately, he was clear as to his expectations of me as the client, and he takes a very proactive approach for his client, meaning the client begins work before the arraignment, etc. For my case, I attended therapy and shoplifting anonymous classes, took an online educational shoplifting class, and volunteered in my community. Jonathan always kept me up to date as to what he was doing for me in my case, and he always made me aware of court proceedings. He was able to get me a very good final result in my case. My case was dismissed and I didn't have to plead guilty or be arraigned. I had no fines or restrictions. Jonathan was always very supportive and uplifting during my correspondence and work with him; however, he was always realistic and knowledgable. I felt that he not only cared about my case but also about me, which I found to be very rare as I spoke with a few lawyers before choosing to work with Jonathan. I would recommend Jonathan to anyone in the same situation that I was in. You will have to work hard, but the proactive approach is what led to my case's outcome. Additionally, the proactive work allowed me to work through my vices so that I'm a positive impact in my community and will never find myself in the same situation again. I will be forever grateful to Jonathan for all his work and help with my case. He led to a positive result in my case and also positively impacted me and my actions.

Dedicated to your case - Not dedicated to win

I should have ran when I originally called his office when I was facing a pending DUI charge. Jonathan and his partner Stephanie are indeed very professional but they lack transparency and if you want updates you have to reach out to them, they don't really prioritize you even when you are spending i...n excess of $5,000 for a single case. I felt like they immediately categorized me as a drunk and when I got upset about the outcome his office provided they told me "well you shouldn't have committed a crime" really? I'm the defendant and you are my lawyer and you're going to tell me that? In addition I almost missed my hardship appeal court case because Jonathan and Stephanie didn't think it was important to tell me the correct location of the hearing. They assumed i'm a professional with the law system and I would just know..... I then had to chase Jonathan down to finally receive my hardship license from the SOS, instead of him reaching out to me with the resolution. Basically I will never get another criminal charge because I'm not a low life retard, however if something ever happens in the future, Jonathan Paul will be my last choice.

I am responding to your review in the same way that I tell every one of my clients. We turn a negative situation into a positive moment in time. Clients come to me during one of the worst moments of their life; when a case is over and we're no longer working together, I hope that each day the client has learned something from their case, and go forward more informed and knowledgeable about making good choices in the future. It has been a year since we worked together, I hope you're in a better place now; I am glad as you say you will never get another criminal charge again. Also, glad you believed I was dedicated to your case as you put in your headline. There is no easy button for a criminal charge. It takes many layers and steps to work toward our goals. We achieved our goals together; did it take longer in some instances? Of course, but we do not control timelines of courts and the Secretary of State. When there is an update, we inform clients within minutes; when there is no update, clients are free to double-check. It was certainly frustrating to wait for the Secretary of State to act on the motion we won. As for you showing up at the wrong court for the hardship appeal, the court sends notices to all parties with the address. If a client is unsure or doesn’t receive something in the mail, they usually ask where to go; I have never had a client show up at the wrong court for this same hearing; did you being a few minutes late have any impact on the outcome? No, our motion was granted. Was it frustrating for you to go to one place and have to drive to another? Absolutely! and I’ve made it a point to remind clients of the address ever since that happened in case they don’t receive the court notice. I am not perfect, just ask my wife and kids! - but we learn from situations. I am sorry about that confusion you had and told you so that day how sorry I was that day. Nobody thinks you're a "low life" now or in the past as you put in your review - you demonstrated that what happened in your case is not a reflection of who you are - you changed the perception of your case with the police, prosecutor, judge and circuit court judge; you did a fantastic job, and I am very proud of you! We took a bad situation that you created and we developed an approach to give you a bridge and opportunity to show something outside of the four corners of the police report and criminal complaint. You did that, you changed your case in the eyes of all the key players. You were a rock star! An attorney should be straightforward and honest with a client on the facts of the case and the charges; sometimes those words are not easy to hear, but ultimately a client grows and prospers by learning from their actions and honesty from their attorney and themselves. Does the circuit court take a long time to set hearings for hardships? Yes! Does the Secretary of State take longer than they should to process that order? Absolutely! Is that extremely frustrating for a client who needs to drive? Very frustrating! Is that timetable and series of delays within my control? No I was as frustrated as you in following up with them over and over again, but my staff worked day after day to follow up and eventually made that happen. It did happen, you received a hardship license due to our victory. But I do understand it was frustrating to wait and wait during that process. We also don’t get to pick our judge, prosecutor and probation officer, but you also received a reduction in charges, and a very reasonable sentence from a tough judge. I am invested in you as a former client, and always here for you. You're entitled to giving me any review you want, and I embrace the opportunity to improve each day myself. Always here to help in anyway you need me. Jonathan
