Jonathan Andrew Paul

I originally signed up for a court appointed attorney until an individual at a Cleptomaniac and Shoplifters Anonymous (CASA) meeting as well as the group facilitator highly suggested I reconsider and find a way to hire Jonathan Paul at kelly&kelly law firm. That evening I did some extensive reading a...nd after going through numerous reviews I decided to contact Mr. Paul around 11pm on a Thursday night. He responded back immediately and by that weekend he had already sent me information regarding steps to begin his proactive program. As a medical student it was incredibly important to me to ideally have this case dismissed from my record so that in a couple of years I could apply to programs across the country for which I had worked so hard for without a criminal record crippling my chances of obtaining a career in medicine. Jonathan assured me that if I followed his recommendations, I would be in an excellent position going before the judge at my pre-trial conference. Upon hiring Mr. Paul and his team, I felt a great sense of relief having someone “hold my hand” through the entire legal process I was incredibly unfamiliar with. Additionally, Jonathan and his assistant Tiffany promptly attended to all of my questions, concerns, and request to be contacted minimally until I sat for my board exam! They were able to have my pre-trial date pushed to a later time which allowed me to focus entirely on my studies and complete many of the different aspects of their proactive program. I finally met with Mr. Paul and Tiffany Storm the day after sitting for an 8 hour exam and the day before my pre-trial and at this meeting, to my surprise, Mr.Paul had already went to my particular court and met with my judge and prosecuter and began the negotiations. He assured me I had nothing to worry about going into court the following morning and because I had done everything that was asked of me as well as went beyond the recommendations I was much more confident going before the judge. The morning of my court time Jonathan was done speaking with the prosecutor even before our agreed meeting time and while I was incredibly embarrassed for generally being a very punctual individual and being tardy that morning, Mr. Paul was still very calm, understanding, reassuring, and confident! He presented a compilation of documents I had to the prosecutor and was able to obtain a double dismissal of my case, by first having the retail fraud charge dropped to “disorderly person” and the disorderly person charge to be dropped after completion of probation. My first meeting with the probation officer also went very smoothly as I had voluntarily already completed many of the elements that would have been ordered by the court or been a part of probation, making this probation time period that much simpler. The probation officer was also impressed with the work I had put in post offense and prior to my court date/ probation meeting. If you ever find yourself in need of an incredibly professional, helpful, non-judgemental and highly experienced attorney specializing in retail fraud cases, I would look no further than Jonathan Paul. The court room is his arena to thrive in just as the hospital would be for a doctor (and doctor in training). I have absolutely no idea how he is able to respond to EVERYONE’S emails and texts in record time, manage a family of his own, and be extremely punctual, but more power to him for being so awesome! I have a newfound appreciation for lawyers and I look forward to keeping in touch with Mr. Paul and his team as I graduate and make advances in my medical career (which is still possible thanks to him)!

Of course, parents always wish there would never be a need to hire a lawyer for their child, but if you do, I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Paul. We don't live in Michigan and Mr. Paul responded immediately to our initial request for help. it was obvious he has a great deal of experience working with teens ...and young adults. I appreciated that he held my son responsible for managing his case and corresponded with me only as a matter of formality, choosing instead to demand my son be responsible for the details. The matter was handled quickly and easily. Johnathon and his assistant Tiffany made themselves available to us via email and phone at ALL times. Johnathon has the ability to connect with young adults on their level and this truly was able to turn this into a valuable learning experience for my teen.

I employed Jonathan a little over a year ago to defend me in an open intoxicant case that turned out to be a nightmare. In an extremely poor moment of my own character, I was convicted of two charges (open intox, attempted assault) in what I believed to be an unfair shake and misunderstanding. My case was dismissed thanks to our collaborative plan (diversion program w/ completed probation) become a reality. Johnathon is the best attorney you could possibly retain for a retail fraud arrest. He takes a proactive approach to prepare you for court and the legal process. If you are willing to follow his plan, he will be able to get "best case scenario" results. His approach allows you to let go of the shame... you are feeling about your incident. I needed to have my charge of Retail Fraud in the 2nd reduced due to my career. He was able to have it reduced to "disorderly person". By the time I had my first interview with my probation officer, I had already fulfilled the majority of the requirements that the court would have assigned. Johnathon and his assistant Tiffany are on point with everything. You cannot go wrong retaining his services. My advice is to do everything that is asked of you in the shortest amount of time possible. He will work hard for you, if you work hard for yourself and "do the work"!
