Someone who understands the business of empathy and compassion

Andy was a Godsend during what was, singlehandedly, the most difficult period of my life. The loss of a loved one is all-consuming, and when you are also charged with managing the estate of that loved one, the task is overwhelming. Andy not only helped guide me through the process, but did so with th...e patience and compassion often reserved for family and close friends. He understood the deep sorrow I was in, and never made me feel that I needed to rush the process of cleaning up my family's life or make any decisions that I was not entirely comfortable with. I am deeply grateful for his guidance and companionship throughout a process that has been extremely difficult for me and my family. Andy is both knowledgable and comfortable navigating estate/probate issues. I can always count on his solid, realiable feedback whenever I need him. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking someone who knows their business and is highly trustworthy. It is difficult to find the blessings in life in the wake of unspeakable tragedy. However, when I count what few blessings I am fortunate to have, Andy is one of them.

Very knowledgeable, thorough, and strategic

I have consulted with Andrew on a number of different issues and he is extremely skilled at identifying the relevant issues, detailing the appropriate legal precedent which applies and outlining the necessary course of action. If I'm involved in an estate related dispute, Andrew Mayoras is the firs...t person I'm going to call.

Someone to have on your side

My husband is a loving, kind and a very successfulr business man. Unfortunately he is no longer there with me. I am eternally grateful to him, for the support he provided me with. The bank which my husband appointed to be the trustee declined to be the trustee; stating that businesses in which my hus...band had partnership are complicated and hard to value. I am a housewife who doesn’t understand structured finance or exotic financial instruments or limited partnerships. I needed an attorney who I can trust and who would put my interest over their own interests. After much research I appointed Andy Mayoras as my attorney. He won me over by his authenticity and easy communication style. I felt I can trust Andy. Andy is very knowledgeable, very articulate and a quick thinker; more importantly his loyalty is only to his clients. This is a very complicated case with multiple businesses and interested parties across few countries. I am so glad that I found him; a different attorney may not have found his way. His knowledge of Trust code is second to none. He is someone who is a continuous learner, keeps himself update-to-date; he is an independent thinker who does the required research. His firm is very professional and rightsized. He has a fantastic secretary. There was never a single instance where I was not able to reach her; she never lost a message. His firm’s follow thru is impeccable. I also believe that as a client I got the benefit of collective knowledge of his firm. To summarize in few words: Andy Mayoras is someone to have on your side.

Best decision we ever made - totally turned around our case.

We were in the middle of a contentious case, that was proceeding slowly and poorly. We had reached a critical juncture. Replacing our existing lawyer with Andy proved to be the turning point. He ending up saving us hundreds of thousands of dollars. Since we were out-of-state clients, we would ord...er the DVD recordings of every hearing. It was impressive to watch Andy present our case in a clear and convincing manner. His knowledge of probate law in Michigan was superior not only to the other attorneys, but a few times even the judge would look to Andy for statutory guidance. To my surprise, every single motion Andy presented the court was granted. After watching the opponents lawyer embarrass themselves on several occasions, we felt fortunate that Andy was on our side. Andy answered all of our questions and always kept us in the loop. He was honest about which issues he thought should be litigated and which should be settled out-of-court to keep legal expenses as low as possible. Our only regret was that we did not find him at the start of our case. It would have saved at least a year of our time, and an incalculable amount of money. Once your legal opponent(s) see what they are up against, the dynamics of the case will change dramatically when they realize they can't take advantage of you. If you have to go through serious litigation, don't waste your money unless you hire the best lawyer possible. For us, that was Andy Mayoras.
