Eric Laurence Pazner

Mr. Pazner got me everything that I wanted and more. I was nervous to go to court with my ex over legal custody and parenting time because for years she had had complete control over my son and my interactions with him. I wanted a great attorney, and didn't know who I could trust to actively repres...ent me and my interests, not just do the bare minimum and end up conceding a lot to the other party. I met with Eric for an initial consultation and was very impressed with the way he carried himself, very confident and understanding. He listened to all my concerns and gave me a scenario that he thought would happen and what I deserved. It all sounded good...until we discussed fees. I was dismayed to hear his fees were higher than I had anticipated and so I tried to find another attorney. I interviewed several others, some that were cheaper and some that were around the same, but none of them felt as sure a bet as it did with Eric. So, despite the fees, which I looked at as "It's just money...I can get more money but I have this one chance here to get it right for my son," I moved forward with Eric. And I am so grateful that I did. Everything was handled professionally and promptly and I always felt that Eric was in complete control of the situation. I worried of course that it still may not go as smoothly once we got to court but it did. Eric negotiated quickly and got me everything that I wanted, and a little more. It was a great experience. So, if you are like me and thinking, maybe I can get a cheaper lawyer, don't. When it comes to looking out for your own rights you want someone who is going to protect your best interests. Eric is the best.

My story. I was suprised when I came home from a trip. My wife of 29 years was gone with the things she wanted. On New Years Day I called 2 attorneys. Eric called the next day, which was the day the holiday was observed. Talking to him, he explained he always is working. We scheduled an appointment w...ithin 2 days. I first hired another attorney to handle my divorce. That was a HUGE mistake. That attorney was totally unresponsive, didn’t have any type of strategy for my case and billed me a tremendous amount of money. Because of that poor representation, I faced enormous alimony and parenting time issues ...after my divorce was finalized. I then hired Eric Pazner to represent me for those post-judgment issues. It was the best decision that I could have made. I realized that I must have hired one of the very best divorce attorneys when my ex’s attorney withdrew from the case when she found out that I was now being represented by Eric and would not be bulldozed anymore. Eric did an extraordinary job representing me. At our first meeting, he was already carving out a strategy on how to handle and attack the alimony and parenting issues. I left that first meeting feeling more confident than I had ever felt before in my case because I knew that Eric understand everything about my case, really knew what I wanted and had a clear plan on how he was going to get for me what I wanted. Eric ALWAYS responded the same day to my emails and phone calls, and I was never left hanging to get my questions answered or wondering about what was going on with my case. At court, he was well-prepared and definitely knew his way around the court room. He knew everyone and seemed to be well respected. I know people hate to pay attorney fees, but Eric’s fees were always fair and I feel that he earned every cent that I paid him, fighting for me. Eric was relentless in advocating for me. And the most important thing is that he got great results for me! I hate to think what could have happened if I didn’t hire Eric. I’m glad that Eric was in my corner! I would definitely recommend him to friends and family, who need a tough attorney that knows what he is doing.

I recently went through my divorce between April 2014 and January of this year. Mr. Pazner was extraordinarily knowledgeable of the Oakland County court system, and was great about helping me navigate the ins and outs, and answering all of my questions as we went along. In the end, I was able to keep... my house, and retain 50/50 custody of my children, as well as entitlement to half of my ex-wife's 401(k). Mr. Pazner or his legal assistant were very responsive any time I had a question, and returned emails and phone calls promptly, and despite being a painful process, they helped make the proceedings as painless as possible, all without breaking my budget. The only drawback was having to pay $4000 retaining fees up front in one lump sum, but it was not unmanageable. I am very satisfied with the end results, and that is certainly what counts!

I originally hired Eric as my divorce lawyer in 2009. With that case he was very upfront about everything that was going on with the case. Mine was a straight forward case with very little back and forth with other party. Every thing was done out of court and made life easy for me. The outcome of tha...t case was very favorable and was not taken further than needed. My original retainer with him was reasonable, and due to my case being pretty quick, there was no request for additional funds. Secondly, I hired Eric again in 2014 to handle my child support case with same party from above divorce. Again the retainer was fair (actually I got a bit back at the end). Again kept me informed of everything that was happening and moved everything along as quick as possible. In the end, I ended up going through friend of the court, but with Eric's knowledge it made me feel a lot better about the numbers I should expect to be seeing as an outcome. Thank you Eric. :)
