Great hearted and flexible lawyer
He’s a great lawyer. We have a sort of uncle nephew relationship I call him uncle James every time I see him! Haha but besides the point very understanding. I am in school and whenever I get a traffic ticket he is very understanding with how hard it is having to pay for school that he will usually give me a 25-30 dollar discount at minimum, as well as take care of my ticket in a timely fashion. His wife Nancy is a great loving lady and they respect me and treat me as Family. Be honest with James upfront and he will take care of you. Don’t blow up his phone, he allows you to have multiple consultations if needed and from there own out let him do his thing and he’ll have you happier then ever.

Great Lawyer
Jame's analytical ability and years of experience enable him to provide thoughtful, thorough, and, most importantly, practical legal advice regarding a wide variety of benefit law issues. He listens carefully to client questions and comments and he responds quickly and clearly with analysis and advice aimed directly at the issue. James has defended my brothers in various cases, from civil to criminal. Hes a great lawyer.

A kind hearted man
He is a great lawyer and has helped me with multiple cases from traffic all the way to criminal . He fights for what's right. He isnt a perfect person just like most of us arent. But he's a good hard working guy and does his best for his clients.

My boyfriend was wrongfully accused of a Car Jacking and I was referred to James. I was too way to desperate to not give him a chance. Initially, I thought he did not care about helping me or my boyfriend however I took it upon myself to gather all the evidence I could in order to convince him that he will not be wasting his time. When I met with James the first time, he told me for the type of case my boyfriend had he normally charged $20,000+ dollars. I didn't even have the $650 for my rent when my boyfriend got arrested. However, he worked with me and all of my assumptions were wrong. James does care, he'll do his part as long as you stick to yours. People fail to realize this is his career, if you do not pay him, you're wasting his time. He charged me a total of $2,500 and to this day I feel like he undercharged me, but he is such a down to earth lawyer he charged that $2,500 and did everything I wanted him to do for my boyfriend. My boyfriend initially had a 100,000 bond with no 10% and had been in jail for all of 6 days before James got him a 50,000 PERSONAL bond with a tether, just to bring him home to me. We worked very close with James, did whatever he advised and he listened to us as well. Then on the final court date, the case did not get bonded over to trial but dismissed in the Preliminary Exam. It's not the Defense's attorney's job to keep anyone out of jail or prison, it is the Prosecutor's job to put that person in there. James provided 12 pieces of evidence plus during cross examination of the victim and leading detective, and proved that my boyfriend was not the correct offender. I don't care how many lawyers are favored by the majority, I don't think anyone could have left me more satisfied and relaxed during this case than James L. Galen Jr. I'm forever grateful and I wish I was rich so he could have gotten that $25,000 from me, because he deserves it.

James L Galen Jr represented me on OWI charge 2015
Mr Galen represented me on a matter of a OWI charge which occurred in July 2015. Apparently an unidentifiable woman called 911 on me. The police pulled me over leaving a Kroger Parking lot PBT was given ,I was arrested . I hired Mr Galen. He argued there was no probable cause for the stop.anyone who has been in a alcohol related driving incident knows how this situation can potentially ruin you both mentally and financially.long story short he had proven the arresting officer was in the wrong for pulling me over. Prosecution agreed. After 4 months of review and research work done by Mr Galen, I am super happy to say that on this Day December 1st 2015 my case was dismissed. I am free and clear of everything. I cannot thank Mr James L Galen enough for his time and expertise. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a defense attorney.

The Best
Represented my son in a Felony matter 3 months ago. Couldn't ask for a more knowledegable attorney, kept my family informed as to what was happening. Very down to earth, a people's lawyer. Very friendly staff at his office who were willing to go the extra mile for my son, Mr, Galen really was excellent during the trial and showed us that there is justice in our legal system.

Never heard from him again
I hired him to take care of a divorce and all he wanted was more money after I already paid him. So I gave him more money and that was the last time I heard from him. Beware he will take your money and run.

Think twice.
• On July 25, 2016 I retained Mr. Galen to handle my divorce for a flat fee of $875.00. He agreed to do all court filings, serve my wife with divorce papers and represent me in court. • To expedite the process, on July 25, 2016, I took the paperwork he filled out to the courthouse, filed the paperwork and paid the $175 filing fee. • On July 25, 2016 my wife was served. • After July 25, 2016, Mr. Galen was missing in action. He would not return countless phone calls, or respond to text messages. On the rare occasion I was able to speak with him, he would set up appointments that he did not show up for. • I was relentless in trying to get him to move on my case. On October 24, 2016 my court filing expired and the clerk informed me that I would have to file again. • I did not hear from Mr. Galen until I left him a message that I would be contacting the attorney grievance center; he immediately responded to this call. He berated me with profanity and insults, and told me to get another attorney. I responded that I wanted to know the status of my case; he told me to call his office the following day. He did not respond to that call, nor has he responded to any other calls from me.

James Galen represented my hunsband for home invasion and he got 15 years.
Jim Galen is his own biggest fan, talks and talks about what he will do what he can do and does NOTHING for $5000. Which for anyone would be a waste of money. Go for your free consultation and see, he'll say what you want to hear and take your check then move on to his next appointment and take their check. The next time you hear from him will be when you next payment is due. Do some investigation this man has had several police contacts of his own and has had his license suspended. He is a big talker with no action. He did not utilize the strategy we agreed on, he used no strategy at all It was like he knew nothing about the case when he came to court after postponing it three times. I did much on my own, gathering medical records from several different hospitals, which we agreed he would use as part of the defense. He did not even bring his medical history up in court. After we agreed that was going to be part of his defense.
