Think twice.

• On July 25, 2016 I retained Mr. Galen to handle my divorce for a flat fee of $875.00. He agreed to do all court filings, serve my wife with divorce papers and represent me in court. • To expedite the process, on July 25, 2016, I took the paperwork he filled out to the courthouse, filed the paperw...ork and paid the $175 filing fee. • On July 25, 2016 my wife was served. • After July 25, 2016, Mr. Galen was missing in action. He would not return countless phone calls, or respond to text messages. On the rare occasion I was able to speak with him, he would set up appointments that he did not show up for. • I was relentless in trying to get him to move on my case. On October 24, 2016 my court filing expired and the clerk informed me that I would have to file again. • I did not hear from Mr. Galen until I left him a message that I would be contacting the attorney grievance center; he immediately responded to this call. He berated me with profanity and insults, and told me to get another attorney. I responded that I wanted to know the status of my case; he told me to call his office the following day. He did not respond to that call, nor has he responded to any other calls from me.

Great hearted and flexible lawyer

He’s a great lawyer. We have a sort of uncle nephew relationship I call him uncle James every time I see him! Haha but besides the point very understanding. I am in school and whenever I get a traffic ticket he is very understanding with how hard it is having to pay for school that he will usually gi...ve me a 25-30 dollar discount at minimum, as well as take care of my ticket in a timely fashion. His wife Nancy is a great loving lady and they respect me and treat me as Family. Be honest with James upfront and he will take care of you. Don’t blow up his phone, he allows you to have multiple consultations if needed and from there own out let him do his thing and he’ll have you happier then ever.

James Galen represented my hunsband for home invasion and he got 15 years.

Jim Galen is his own biggest fan, talks and talks about what he will do what he can do and does NOTHING for $5000. Which for anyone would be a waste of money. Go for your free consultation and see, he'll say what you want to hear and take your check then move on to his next appointment and take t...heir check. The next time you hear from him will be when you next payment is due. Do some investigation this man has had several police contacts of his own and has had his license suspended. He is a big talker with no action. He did not utilize the strategy we agreed on, he used no strategy at all It was like he knew nothing about the case when he came to court after postponing it three times. I did much on my own, gathering medical records from several different hospitals, which we agreed he would use as part of the defense. He did not even bring his medical history up in court. After we agreed that was going to be part of his defense.
