When my ex told me she filed for divorce, I was told to talk to Jan Rubenstein. We set up our initial meeting and I knew he was the lawyer for me. I didn't even call another lawyer to talk too!! Jan was.... my Knight in Shining Armor. This man has integrity. He has an unbelievable presence in the court room, (and I now understand how crucial this is). He stands for justice. He is fair. And, Jan is an attorney that will FIGHT for you. I would pay this man his weight in gold, because that is what he is in the court room; Golden. In the midst of the most difficult and trying tribunal I have ever faced, when I had been bullied and pushed around by a convoluted, unfair, and biased system of attorneys, referees, and judges, Jan stepped in and was able to shield me from the continued injustices that had been allowed against my children and I, and even propagated, for nearly a full year. Counselor Rubinstein valiantly advocated on my behalf demanding justice and fairness. Jan looked in the face of a malicious person acting as opposing counsel and offered protection for me. He stood in the face of a Judge who had taken every opportunity possible to punish me, and demanded accountability. In his closing remarks during one hearing, Jan brought me to tears, and was successfully able to sway the Judge's misguided opinion of me to one that reflected the true nature of myself and my child custody case. I am not a man who is easily impressed. In fact, I originally hired the most "high profile" child custody attorneys in Oakland County to represent me, and this proved to have been a crucial error for me. It was not until Jan that I realized the importance of having a true advocate fighting on your behalf. I could go on and on about Jan and his remarkable services, but I do not feel I need to. If you hire this man you will not be disappointed, and I am confident that, like myself, you would gladly pay him above and beyond his fees to retain such a talented and passionate attorney.
