Jonathan Grant Chance

Jonathan Chance was given to me as a public defender for my federal case. Without Jonathan Chance as my lawyer I don’t know if I would’ve got as good of a deal as I did. He made me feel welcomed during the long period of time my case went on and helped me every step of the way for almost three full y...ears. I really think if I had a different attorney, one who didn’t care to help as much as Mr. Chance did, then I would’ve been sentenced to prison instead of probation. While on pre trial release I messed up and quit contacting my probation officer which lead to me going back into custody and Jonathan helped me get back out, and then helped me settle a deal with the government for a lower end sentence of the sentencing guidelines and even got me three years probation instead of a 30 month sentence in prison which I am extremely grateful for. Overall a great attorney and I highly recommend him for the job, he has a great reputation in Indiana.

I initially reached out to Mr. Chance to see if he would be interested in representing me on a non compete covenant as I was about to leave my employer to seek similar work in my field. This grew into me needing representation on a wage and hour dispute with additional protection against a countersui...t involving an intellectual property claim over software design. Mr. Chance absolutely represented me in spectacular fashion! I have had to hire attorneys in the past and I can say, without a doubt, this was the first time an attorney really understood my needs. He was very responsive to my questions. In many cases his responses would lead to me further realizing evidence that would fortify our position. Needing an attorney is an emotional rollercoaster and it moves you to make rash decisions but he brought me to reality on many occasions with good reasoning and explanations on how it could actually derail the case. I have immense respect for an attorney that will tell you straight out that you shouldn't waste your time even though it could generate billable hours for them. I hired Jonathan Chance to defend me in an employment law case.
