I needed advice and was looking for an attorney to help me decide on how to proceed. (One who would ACTUALLY reply to your request) I found Roy and sent him a message for consultation along with a couple of other larger firms. (The larger firms have yet to reply to me even today) From the begin...ning, Roy reached out quickly and with sincere concern for my situation and was doing his best to calm my fears and lesson my stress. After a couple of discussions, more information and advice, Roy said he would begin working on this right away to find the best path forward. I sent him a retainer to cover any expenses to keep from slowing him down. But Roy realized early I might be better served by one of his colleagues that is more expert in the area I had need. Even after all his upfront work, Roy didn't charge my card. He had all rights to do so, but felt it was more important to find me someone who could take me the final mile rather than getting a quick buck into his bank account. (Rare indeed) While this is not the most important part of the story, what it did say about Roy is that he has client integrity and an old fashion desire to help that's refreshing in today's need-for-greed society.
