Roy Graham

Note: (Roy doesn’t do much family law now.) We hired Roy way back in 2018 for a crazy situation dealing with my wife’s ex and their child. Sadly, crazy situations kept repeating. Ultimately we obtained full legal and primary physical custody. 5 years of non stop crazy though. A GAL got involved, and ...the state intervened. At one point we were facing 25 contempt allegations, evidently 24 were frivolous! (We learned that taking your sick kid to the Dr on the other parent’s time is not in a child’s best interest). That logic is just mind boggling to us! Welcome to Indiana! So anyway, we got him on two contempts though so overall goal for mom. When things seem dark and hopeless, Roy is your lighthouse!

The reason that I am writing this review is two-fold. The first reason is simply to say thank you, and the second reason is to highly recommend Roy Graham as an attorney. As a school principal, I certainly understand the importance of professionalism and teamwork. Mr. Graham and I worked closely t...ogether for the duration of my case regarding my daughter’s college expenses and other relevant financials. My case is complicated on many levels, however Mr. Graham showed tremendous knowledge in all facets of family law. I was facing what could have been a devastating financial situation. With the help and expertise of Roy Graham, we were able to reach an agreement with my ex-wife that will literally save me thousands of dollars in the near future. Roy is always readily available for a phone conversation and/or an email reply. I strongly recommend Roy Graham as an attorney. He genuinely seems to care for his clients and is very reasonable regarding costs and fees.

I hired Mr. Graham for a bery difficult family law matter. Knowing he practices many different types of law, I was a bit nervous at first going into things. Mr. Graham was with me every step of the way, from what to file before I had retained him through the very difficult court process. He never lef...t me out of the loop, always answered or returned my calls promptly, and handled the court hearings like the professional that he is. I am very glad he was the one to take my case. He is dedicated and genuinely cares about his clients. Very humble and low-key as a person but very knowledgable and reassuring with difficult developments.

Mr. Graham represented me on two separate cases. The first was an expungement hearing for a misdemeanor plea. The second was a dissolution of marriage with minor children. I found Roy's contact information on this site and contacted him (quite late at night) and to my surprise he answered right aw...ay. We developed a fee structure and he explained the process to me very thoroughly and clearly. His fees were very reasonable and the expungement was filed right away, with a hearing to be scheduled later. The expungement hearing was very brief and the order was issued without complication. A preliminary hearing was also scheduled for the divorce filing, in which Mr. Graham also represented me. I did not know what to expect at the hearing, but Roy reminded me to relax, tell the truth and answer the questions respectfully. The judge was fair to both parties and while I did not receive the amount of parenting time I wanted, it was within state guidelines. Support arrangements were made and a temporary division of assets was determined. Mediation was scheduled and an agreement was not reached. Roy had other commitments the day of mediation but he was flexible and able to help me during the process. A final hearing was then scheduled, delayed, and rescheduled. Prior to the final hearing, Roy helped me prepare our case and any evidence. The hearing did not go the way either of us expected but Roy kept his cool and his example was very encouraging. A judgement was never issued and we ended up settling the matter out of court. Roy is very fair, he is also very knowledgeable when it comes to family law and the court system in general. He is easy to communicate with and would always return calls or emails right away. He does have a lot of clients and can sometimes become distracted. When working with him sometimes clients would call on his cell phone and he dealt with those as they came in. But I wouldn't say he is necessarily unorganized, just overworked. He values good communication and healthy relationships, and I think he genuinely cares about me as a person and not just a client. I would recommend Roy to anyone in this situation and would absolutely have him represent me again.
