I had hired Mr. Betteau for several cases at which I was looking at alot of time in prison and probation as well, Bart told me how each court or charge needed to be approached and what I needed to do on my end and he told me what he thought could come out of these situations that I was in... well Bar...t did exactly what he said exactly and definitely knows his stuff, he was very professional and he talks to you with a charisma about himself. He kept everything honest with me and he can be a bit higher but I'd rather pay for someone who is honest, dependable and very good at their profession than hire me a cheap lawyer that will just give you what the state offered more or less. Bart Betteau is a man I admire and he saved me in many ways, I am now a sober woman for over a year with no jail time. He advised I go to treatment and with him believing In me caused more hope in my outcome and his faith in me made me feel really like I had a second chance, it's more than just paying for a attorney when it comes to Bart its alot more that words can describe & his office is the most accurate and professional women who care and actually do their job and carry a certain respect towards the people who are in trouble, they don't make you feel judged or treat you differently, hiring Bart was the best decision I ever made after all the bad decisions that I had made. I totally respect him for his work he does and the approach he takes. He is highly skilled and I recommend that you higher Bart! This guy told me what I wanted to hear, took my money and hardly did anything to help my case. All the legal advice he gave me was incorrect. He also missed pointing out major details in my case to the judge. He prolonged my case time and time again. He was often late to court and displayed anger... issues inside and outside of the courtroom. While in court, he would often times "doodle" and pass when it was our turn to present additional information, arguments or opportunities to object. He would tell me one thing one day and completely go the opposite direction the next. He originally charged me a flat fee and then sent me a bill for additional fees. Not very ethical in my opinion. Do yourself a favor, keep looking! If you need good solid legal advise and/or representation, just remember one thing, Betteau doesn't know!
