I have led several internal investigations in the United Statesand foreign countries, from both sides of the investigation. These investigations have uncovered fraud,corruption and deception on the part of rogue employees or subsidiaries. I have assisted my clients in beingpro-active to root out problems from within and protecting them from elementsthat might have financial or regulatory consequences.
I appeared on TruTV (formerly Court TV) tocomment on the trial of State v. Houston,Roane Criminal No. 13404A and B (allegations of a double homicide entailingthe death of two police officers).
While a Federal Prosecutor with the U.S. EnvironmentalProtection Agency, I provided advice as to legal issues and possibleramifications of policy decisions on complex cases, national and internationalin scope, arising in the enforcement of the criminal provisions ofenvironmental statutes. Further, I served as a national consultant on criminal enforcement of environmental statutes,primarily responsible for reviewing EPA's national and international criminalenforcement activities. Lastly, I representedthe criminal enforcement branch of EPA, providing assistance to senior agencyofficials in preparation of Congressional testimony.
