Angela Brown Swenson

After learning that Ms. Swenson was licensed in both Indiana and Florida we knew she would be the perfect fit for our needs since we were relocating to Florida soon. Shortly after contacting the office my call was returned promptly by Ms. Swenson. We discussed our needs re: preparation of an updated ...will and other concerns re: our current guardianship of our adult daughter. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided instructions in preparation for our office appointment. She was thorough and we appreciated the time she spent to ensure we understood the legal requirements in Florida that we would encounter. I would not hesitate to recommend Swenson & Associates.

I hired this attorney to represent me in a child support modification issue and a contempt of court issue with my ex-spouse not adhering to our current divorce decree. Angela then passed me off to another associate in the practice, Dawn Marie White. I remained with this attorney, and Angela, I suppo...se, for nine months. Communication was very poor. I had very specific items that my ex-spouse was in contempt of. He was, and still is, in blatant violation of our current divorce decree. I turned over all information that was asked of me by this practice and there still wasn't any action taken for 4 months, until my ex-spouse took me to court for emancipation of one of my children. Nothing was accomplished at that court date except the emancipation. None of the contempt issues were even discussed. The remaining 5 months with these attorneys again accomplished nothing. I made phone calls to the office, but no one ever answered the phone. I left voice mails and emails which were hardly ever responded to. The office hours were never honored. I would stop by and no one was there. I will be honest and say I was on a modest means payment program and I was doing my best to make payments. However, I felt since I was receiving poor service, I shouldn't have to pay until my requests were being met. They never were. These lawyers dropped me for slow payment even though they agreed to help me financially at the beginning. I had invested a lot of money and now I have nothing to show for it. I was poorly and unfairly misrepresented. Do not hire this firm as they will mislead you, not communicate with you, misrepresent you and will most definitely not fight for you.

I have hired Angie twice now and would hire her anytime I need legal representation for my child custody case. The first time she did everything she could and we won without even having to go infront of the judge. The 2nd time was an emergency hearing and she was on top of it. We went to court and sh...e was well prepared as always to wipe the floor with him and she did and I now have full legal and physical custody of my son. She is no-nonsense and really does everything She can for you and your child. She is an answer to a very long time prayer and I am forever grateful for her. Thanks Angie!

We hired Angela to do a simple divorce for our daughter. No children and both our daughter and her husband were being very easy to deal with throughout the whole process. Angela came across at the beginning as " I'm gonna be right here for you and this will be a simple case". We gave her the $1500 re...tainer to start the process and almost immediately we had trouble with her returning our phone calls,emails etc. we went days without hearing anything from her. I at one point confronted her asking if she thought she took on more than she could handle. She assured me that wasn't the case yet continued to never return our calls and almost always had to work through her assistant to get any kind of answers. By the way, her asst is very borderline rude to work with too. Our daughters divorce was finalized for about a week already yet we never heard of about it and only after we called another three times did her assistant call us back and admit that it had been final already for a week. Also, the very first appointment our daughter had scheduled with Angela, Angela herself was late for and our daughter waited to see if she would show up. Angela was over 45 minutes late. She sat down with our daughter and the first comment that came out of Angela's mouth was " let's get this a hole".. I would never recommend anyone to hire on with this attorney!!
