As the visionary behind HOLLINGSWORTH LAW GROUP, Kena Hollingsworth brings a blend of professional experience and personal insight to the practice of family law. As a child of divorce and an adult who has navigated divorce amicably, Kena has first-hand experience with how emotionally (and financially) draining the process can be. That personal experience, coupled with her professional legal experience of over two decades wherein she has dedicated her work exclusively to family law, provides Kena with a profound understanding of how divorce can impact individuals and families. Her legal experience is further complemented by her certification as a relationship coach, which equips her with tools and a very unique skillset for resolving conflict. Collectively, Kena’s entire life has prepared her to help others navigate divorce with more ease, peace, kindness and respect. She has a deep-rooted passion for finding healthier, more constructive approaches to resolving family conflicts.
Kena has created a practice at HOLLINGSWORTH LAW GROUP that encompasses all aspects of family law, from custody and parenting time issues to division of complex assets, including businesses, etc. As a family law mediator and trained collaborative divorce professional, Kena and her team at HLG advocate for alternative dispute resolution methods that prioritize the well-being of all parties, especially when children are involved. With an approach shaped by her own experiences, her work (and the work of the entire HLG Team) is infused with empathy and a commitment to sustainable, positive outcomes.
Recognized for her innovative approach and positive impact, Kena has been a voice in the community through speaking engagements and media appearances, and has received numerous honors and awards, including being named a Super Lawyer® every year since 2015. Additionally, she is a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and a member of various local and national legal associations, including the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Kena’s undergraduate education is from the University of Southern Indiana, where, as a scholarship athlete in tennis, she graduated magna cum laude, double majoring in English and Spanish with an emphasis on International Business & Marketing. From there, Kena obtained her J.D. from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law.
