In early April 2019 I made a huge mistake and faced a high DUI charge. I reached out to several lawyers and Michael Mills was the first to speak with me right away. First off Mr. Mills, please forgive my tardiness in providing you this review. For all others, this isn't just a review, it is most certainly a recommendation for Mr. Mills to be hired as your attorney. In June 2016, I was arrested for suspicion of OVI. This was a devastating experience as I had n...ever been in trouble with the law in any way previously and was most distressed about my job and immediate future. The first lawyer I contacted declined to take my case when I asked him what I could expect with respect to law proceedings and other general questions. Basically, he wouldn't talk to me until I paid him ($1500 is a lot of money to give someone who won't inform you as to what they can do for you). However, that lawyer declining my case turned out to be the best thing that could have happened because I then contacted Michael Mills. During the first phone, call Mr. Mills explained to me his experience in such cases and gave me an outline on what I may expect as the legal proceedings unfolded in the coming months. That conversation I had with Mr. Mills was worth every dollar I paid him because it put me at ease about the future and gave me a lot of knowledge about a situation I had no idea how to navigate. Mr. Mills took care of everything; I didn't have to lift a finger with respect to any court proceedings. All I had to do was show up to court on time. That was it. Everything Mr. Mills told me about the process and the most likely outcome of my case came to pass. I understand this may not happen in every case however, this was my experience and I thank God that my case turned out the way it did. Mr. Mills was professional, courteous, punctual to my court proceedings and personal. By personal, I mean I believe that Mr. Mills took a personal investment in the successful outcome of my case. He sat with me at court before my court room appearance and he walked me out of court ensuring that I received all paperwork that I needed to address and basically left nothing for me to deal with on my own. Waiting in the court room lobby for my court appearances, I never saw another lawyer wait on their client. They came in, said hi to their client, went into court with them and then immediately left after their client's court appearance so that lawyer could address other issues. I still don't have a way of properly describing how thankful I am to Mr. Mills for having such a personal and caring attitude towards addressing my situation. To anyone that reads this review and are in a similar situation, I implore you to contact Mr. Michael Mills to defend you in court and, for lack of better words, to provide you comfort with his personal guidance during such a distressing time. And if you are in this situation, it is my greatest hope that you don't find yourself in this position again.
