Biography
Attorney David J. Smith established The Smith Law Firm, LLC in 2010 to assist Ohio residents in obtaining relief from their financial issues and has since helped hundreds of families.
David has roots in the greater-Dayton area having graduated from Walter E. Stebbins High School in 1999. From Stebbins, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Wilmington College in 2003, graduating cum laude. In addition to his academic accomplishments, David played on the varsity soccer team and served his fraternity as president, amongst other extracurricular activities.
David went on to study at the Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University and received his Doctorate in Jurisprudence in May 2006. Prior to practicing law, David worked as a research reference attorney at the LexisNexis Corporation in Miamisburg, Ohio. David noticed the increasing economic issues that were affecting Ohio citizens and decided he wanted to help these good people through their tough financial times. His practice focuses on consumer Bankruptcy law (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies).
Additionally, since marrying his wife Rachel and starting their family with their three children, David has begun assisting young families with their estate planning (wills, powers of attorney, and representing fiduciaries in probating estates). Estate planning is important for people of all ages as one never knows when these documents will be needed. David also assists Ohioans with general civil issues such as evictions, credit card lawsuits, foreclosures, etc.

Excellent lawyer
