Rebecca Ann Zemmelman

I had shared parenting through Hamilton County for the past 8 years, give or take. My son was at my house one weekend and had explained some things going on at his Mothers that I didn't know about. I started to Google for custody lawyers and Rebecca's name came up with great reviews. Within 48 hours ...of making initial contact with her, I hired her and we were in front of a magistrate for the first of two emergency custody hearings. I left that day with emergency custody and the following week I had interim emergency custody. We had everything in place as far as evidence against my sons mother, so until the trial started we worked on evidence to help myself. Rebecca had binders for everyone involved in testifying, color coated for the magistrate and made sure my sons best interest was taken care of. Rebecca is one of a kind. We faced a lot of challenges with the opposing party as we attempted to settle a shared parenting plan for our 7YO son (they refused to attend settlement conferences, her counsel's communication was at times nonexistent, and there was unfortunately a long backlog of cases th...e magistrate could see). We ended up working with Rebecca for over a year. Despite the challenges, we always knew we were in excellent hands. Rebecca consistently went above and beyond, made herself available after-hours (even on her vacation!), provided guidance on the process, and counseled us on priorities. She is genuinely a wonderful person. In what can appear to be a cerebral profession to someone not in the field, she's brings a genuine and human approach to her work. That's not to say she isn't stern and strong in front of opposing counsel. While we don't hope to ever have to be back in court over this matter, I wouldn't blink an eye before calling Rebecca.

Ms. Zemmelman assisted us in getting custody of our grandson. My daughter and her husband had their son removed from their home by CPS. It was a very stressful and emotional time for my husband and I. Rebecca was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what was happening every step of the way. W...ith her assistance we now have custody of our 10 month old grandson. We are very thankful for her help and would highly recommend her.
