I am an attorney in Lebanon, Ohio, with a practice focusing on Divorce, Child Custody and Juvenile Law as well as Probate and Criminal matters. I have been practicing law since receiving my Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University Law School in 2001.

I founded The Law Office of Joshua G. Burns, LLC, at the beginning of 2014 as I began my 14th year of practice in Southwest Ohio. In addition to 10 years of private practice, I served for 4 years as a Magistrate in the Warren County Juvenile and Probate Courts. My experience as a Magistrate has given me a unique perspective on cases relating to domestic issues, including child custody and juvenile law. Having decided hundreds of custody, criminal and probate cases has provided me with a rare insight into the law that I rely upon every day in private practice.

Besides my work in domestic relations law, I also have large juvenile law, criminal, civil and probate law practices.

Josh was appointed to us through warren county children service in what was to be temporary placement of an infant cousin . Over the course of a year we worked very close with Josh , his knowledge of the law and sense of humor kept me together with all the ups and down of the case. The fact that I felt so at ease and I could talk to Josh any time was great! You're suppose to trust and be able to confine in your attorney right?! With Josh you will definitely get that! I had no doubts when asking Josh questions and what direction we should move , he gave us honest answers and what to expect. Josh had our hearts and what was best for infant in mind at all times. If ever in need of an attorney in this area again, Josh will be my first phone call. Highly recommend Josh for all custody cases!

We were given Josh's name both as a court appointed attorney and a recommendation from a friend. We also were only given 7 days before our court date. Josh represented us very well especially given the short lead time for the court date. I would strongly recomment Josh.

Throughout my years of dealing with multiple court cases/legal issues, and attorneys, Joshua Burns is the only attorney that I have truly felt secure with in him representing me, as well as the case that needed to be presented to the court. Mr. Burns is highly experienced in his field of work, as he is also helpful, knowledgeable/intelligent, and respectful, therefore, he is the one to get the job done right.

Joshua Grant Burns is undoubtedly the most honest, sincere and caring attorney that I ever had the privelege of working with. Two years ago I was introduced to Josh through several workers in the County that were part of a Kinship group that I was attending. A great-grandmother thrown into the throes of a custody battle for a 21 month old little girl. This became a battle that lasted over 2 years. There was never a time I doubted Josh and his committment to fight for the best interest of my grandbaby, nor a time when I did not trust his judgement. His ability to be open and honest in a tactful way, being considerate of other's feelings and acting with utmost integrity in the court room helped give me not only confidence but strength in the fight. A great man with a great heart filled with human compassion and caring especially for children.

Josh provided us exceptional counsel in the custody trial of our grand daughter. His knowledge of the law and sense of humor kept us grounded in court and in our testimony. Josh seemed to have a well rounded working relationship with the court and all 9 attorneys involved. We would highly recommend Josh for all custody cases!
