Eli Robert Heller

Attorney Eli Heller has been practicing law in Ohio since 2013. His experience encompasses litigating complex cases in courts throughout Northeast Ohio, primarily in criminal defense, felony, juvenile and DUI defense, and in family law, divorce, dissolution, child custody and support.

Attorney Heller is a passionate trial lawyer who loves helping his clients through some of the most difficult challenges in their lives. He prides himself on his ability to listen and understand the issues that are important to his clients. He provides them with the guidance needed to make well-informed, strategic decisions in their cases. Whether it involves negotiations or in-court litigation, he always advocated vigorously for every one of his clients.

Attorney Heller is well versed in all aspects of litigation, negotiating settlements, drafting and arguing motions and conducting trials in various Municipal Courts, Courts of Common Pleas, and Probate Courts.

He recently took more than 10 cases to Jury trial, with a majority resulting in favorable results for the clients.  Additionally, he has successfully conducted numerous suppression hearings and bench trials.

Prior to joining the Hoover Kacyon and Associates, Attorney Heller owned his own law practice and worked as a Legal Defender for Summit County.  Over that time period, he not only refined his skills by handling a large number of cases, but also established a strong rapport with judges, lawyers, prosecutors and court staffs within the Portage County and Summit County legal systems.

Mr. Heller is a proud alumnus of the University of Akron School of Law, where he acted as the Student Bar Association President. He was also a member of the nationally ranked Akron Trial Team, a participant in moot court and an Academic Success Program tutor in Civil Procedure.

Currently, he is a member in good standing of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Portage County Bar Association.
