Biography
Kevin Kita has a multi-jurisdictional practice defending businesses in all aspects of civil ligation. He is licensed in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois and California, and has appeared Pro Hac Vice in many other states including Missouri, Tennessee, Indiana and Wyoming. He has first-chaired jury trials at both the state and federal level, and appeared and argued before multiple District Courts of Appeal, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Kevin serves as national trial counsel for automotive manufacturers, but has trial, arbitration, and appellate experience in a wide variety of legal fields, earning annual recognition amongst numerous publications including Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, Top Attorneys, and Super Lawyers for more than a decade. His practice currently focuses in areas of insurance bad faith, products liability/warranty, employment, and TCPA defense.
In addition to his litigation practice, for the past 15 years, Kevin has been the trial team director of The University of Akron School of Law, guiding them to multiple National Championships, three consecutive National Runner-Up finishes and Eight Regional Championships. Kevin has also served as a lead instructor at the law school’s annual summer trial practice academy since its founding in 2015, and was selected to serve as faculty at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s prestigious Trial Academy in 2025.
