I’m disappointed that I’m having to leave this review, but I feel it’s important for others seeking a family lawyer to know about my experience. I hired Heather Dyer for my child custody case, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disheartening and disappointing professional relationships I’ve en...countered. Throughout the case, I did not feel supported, guided, or truly advocated for. Communication was minimal and often vague, and I consistently felt left in the dark during critical moments when clarity and reassurance were most needed. It felt as though I was navigating this emotionally taxing situation on my own, despite paying thousands of dollars for legal representation. What was most painful was the lack of fight I saw in her approach. It seemed the priority was not my case, nor my child’s best interest, but rather the billing process. The financial costs mounted quickly, yet the level of service, strategy, and commitment did not reflect the high fees I paid. While I understand that not every case results in a win, I expected my attorney to stand beside me with dedication and transparency. Sadly, I did not experience that with Heather Dyer. I hope this review encourages more thoughtful consideration for others choosing legal counsel during such a sensitive and impactful time in their lives.

We chose heather for our case and she required a $3000 retainer. I had to borrow from my retirement to pay her, she had to have one conversation in a court setting then constantly calls my wife saying that we owe her thousands more and we’re taking money out of her family’s pocket. Now she’s threate...ning to take our tax return. We’ve been clear we don’t have the money to pay her 1000’s of additional dollars because of her 1 conversation she had with another attorney. I can’t sit here and think it’s cost more and more money for one conversation. Shame on you.
