I was looking for a criminal defense lawyer after receiving my second DUI within 4 years . After googling lawyers trying to find a lawyer to represent me, in Oregon Court I found Allison. When I read the reviews about her I thought to myself she sounds like a good lawyer, but to my surprise she turn...ed out to be a great lawyer! Allison is a true professional, I'm a 15 year U.S ARMY Veteran so I know a little bit about being professional. Allison did everything she could to make the outcome of my mistake come out in my favor, (Thank you Allison!!). I know one thing, if I ever fine myself , family or friends needing a great lawyer, Allison would be the lawyer I call or would recommend.

My case involved petitioning the Ohio BMV to allow me to obtain a license following a DUI infraction that I had been charged with in 2009 but had not been brought to trial until 2014. After 1 year of court appearances in Arizona, (I am a resident of Ohio, so alot of travel) it was recommended by my a...ttorney in Arizona that I should accept a plea for charges that really didn't coincide with the original charge of aggravated DUI ( automatic if it is your second DUI in 10 years which carries a 3 month minimum jail sentence) just so I could get less jail time. Now please understand, I had a previous offer that was much better but was told I could possibly get away with no jail time and if it didn't work the original offer would probably be back on the table, didn't happen. This all added up to a tremendous amount of money, 30 days incarceration, 18 months probation, and a Felony charge, and as I found out later, a 3 year REVOCATION of my license in Arizona, now a revocation of a license means ALL driving rights have been eliminated and at the end of the 3 years they still would not have to reinstate any driving privilege, EVER! Now me not being a resident of Arizona didn't mean I could just get my license in Ohio, due to interstate cooperation in license laws I was denied in Ohio as well. After trying what I thought was everything I wrote my Congressional representative who in turn had the BMV contact me, they told me I would have to have a judge make a ruling allowing me access to a license in Ohio. I am not very schooled in the arts of the law (obviously) so I tried calling attorneys, after a few told me there wasn't much they could do I found, Allison, she listened to my story, she said there may be a way, and, she would be willing to try to help me. As you could imagine I was somewhat skeptical since my previous experience with my Arizona attorney didn't quite set to well for me, although i'm sure he did his best, but I was happy at the same time thinking that this could possibly happen. She looked in the records and found there was a hold also from California since I was a resident of Ca. when I had been pulled over and she knew there was no way she could make it work with two states, so I petitioned Ca. myself and had to wait another 7 months for Ca. to reinstate my suspended license (which I hadn't had since 2011). I had already retained Allison in February and had told her to just hold on and when the Ca. issue was dropped we would try then. Finally it was time, I contacted Allison and to my surprise she called me at home, in the evening, to tell me she was working on my petition, AT HOME, IN THE EVENING, I was floored, I felt for the first time through all this that someone was actually going the distance to help me. After about 5 min. of questions, we hung up, I sent her a copy of my sentencing paperwork and within a half hour she contacted me back telling me she thinks she had it figured out and there could possibly be some light at the end of this long tunnel, and this time it wasn't a train, or in her words, BINGO! What she had seen in the sentencing paperwork was the charges I had been told to plea to do, not exist in Ohio and that Ohio would not recognize the penalty of license revocation. She filed the paperwork and sure enough, she presented me with the best New Year's surprise with a judgement in my favor. I cannot say enough about how professional, hard working, straight forward, and down to earth this Woman has been! I highly recommend her to any of my Family and Friends and I highly recommend her to anyone else facing some legal hurdles. She Rocks!
