My son was arrested for a sex-based crime and based on a friend's recommendation, I hired a different attorney. I figured that based on the fact he was only 18 at the time of the incident, the experience and competency of the attorney wasn't going to make much difference. I couldn't have been more wr...ong. Things with the other attorney seemed to be going okay, but I was a little perplexed that the prosecutor wasn't coming off their offer of five years in prison.
