Okay attorney, but I will not use him again

I hired Daniel Ellis to represent me to appeal the denial of my access badge to the government facility where I had worked for nearly a year. It was emotional for me because there had been a huge turnover in my position. I was quickly targeted for dismissal and subjected to illegal procedures that vi...olated my personal privacy. Daniel did a nice job of putting together a professional appeal, but since there was no secret clearance involved, my appeal was ignored and we were never granted a hearing. Daniel made several high level contacts through my case, but I was left with no job and my appeal shuffled aside and never addressed. Instead of standing by me and examining next steps together, Daniel recommended that I contact a new attorney to explore next steps. I never felt as though Daniel was on my side.

Dear Anonymous, I am sorry that you are upset about the result in your case. Though I doubt your rendition of the facts, and would be happy to discuss this with you further. I became a lawyer to help people. I am grateful for the privilege of being able to practice law and fight hard for my clients. I find it uncomfortable to ask to be paid, but I have a wife and a growing family and a duty to support our office and to support our incredible office staff by asking to be paid for our work. In addition to helping paying clients, I have served and continue to serve on various Non-Profit Boards. I volunteer at Free Legal Clinics. I presently as the Knoxville Bar Associations Barristers Access to Justice Co-Chair. As one of the KBA Barristers Access to Justice Co-Chairs I have volunteered at our first Grandparents as Parents Legal Clinic with Legal Aid of East Tennessee and other attorneys, I have helped set up educational events for the community on topics like Drivers License Reinstatement, and I have fought hard to bring dignity to a dying man by working to clear his name in our local courts records. Practicing Law is challenging, but as Albert Einstein once said "only a life lived in service of others is worth living." But wisdom doesn't heal the pain that you must still feel my friend, so for that pain I can only offer you my prayerful earnest loving support. Some cases cannot be won, but believe me I care about you.

Exceptional Attorney!!!

I hired Mr. Ellis to represent me in a Department of Energy hearing when I was applying to get my clearance at a DOE site. Even though we were six hours apart, Mr. Ellis stayed on top of my case, communicated every step of the process, relayed information as soon as he received it, pursued traditiona...l and non-traditional ways of finding different perspectives and avenues to prove my case was wrongfully decided in the initial investigation. Mr. Ellis is very easy to understand, and he is a very good listener. He is able to take information and apply it in the best, most efficient manner. He left no card unturned, found resources, and other professionals to support our case. If there was every anything he was unsure of, he found someone who was knowledgeable and focused in that area, and found the answers. In my particular case, he was able to politely and professionally tare apart the DOE's case against me, and show there was no legitimate reasonable cause to their findings. Mr. Ellis is a superb attorney. He has wisdom and patience beyond his years. He is a rare find in this world of cut throat attorney's. He has a personality and demeanor that you are able to relax and have comfort knowing he truly cares about his clients and what they are going through. He takes a invested interest in his clients. He knows and understands, that the end results of any case would be life altering, whether it was in favor or against his clients favor. I never felt like I was just the next person on his list, in fact I always felt like I was the only person on his list of clients. When it came time for my hearing, Mr. Ellis handled setting up all witnesses to be there, ensuring that I had nothing to worry about. He was early to the hearing and very prepared. If I had one wish, it would be that he wasn't six hours away me, because if the need every came about that I would need an attorney, he would absolutely be my first pick!

Outstanding

I really believe Mr. Ellis is a good man. He helped save my job and my future! A many thanks goes to him. Always kept me informed and was very willing to answer any questions I had. His help went beyond just business. Easy to talk too and made me feel very comfortable. As a former combat infantryman ...veteran, He was on point at at every corner, and I'd follow him into the arena of legal combat any day.
