also known as Kathy Sierra-Kelly
Katherine Sierra-Kelly has represented clients with issues surrounding family law. She has also worked extensively as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the interests of children in dissolution matters as well as adults who may be incapacitated. Her goal is to work closely with her clients and help them through this difficult time because she understands what it’s like to be lost in a process you know nothing about and have to rely on someone else for guidance. She understands that these types of proceedings are often emotionally charged and deal with some of the most precious things anyone can focus on, one’s children. She focuses on each individual’s unique needs and recognizes that there is no “one size fits all” approach. Katherine seeks to find amicable resolutions for her clients whenever possible and attempts to minimize conflict and reduce costs for her clients while obtaining the best possible outcome. However, she also believes in holding those accountable when they are dishonest or seek to take advantage of her clients.
Katherine enjoys working together with famly of special needs children to create custody arrangements that are unique and support the needs of children with special medical needs, neurodivergencies issues, or other disabilities.
Katherine began her practice of law in Washington State in 2007. Katherine was previoulsy a registered Title 11 and Title 26 Guardian Ad Litem in Benton and Franklin counties. She has since relocated to Tennessee where she expanded her practice in 2024.
Katherine is an avid Seattle Seahawks and Vols Football fan and enjoys spending time working out in the gym to keep up with her three boys.

The best
Katherine is amazing! Knowledgeable, attentive, doesn't forget anything important and most of all just a great person! She represented me on a very high conflict divorce, and despite it being expensive, it was not because of frivolous charges or her trying to over charge me. I highly recommend her fo...

Amazing
I hired Katherine a few months back to represent me for my daughter in family court. In the short teleconference we had (about a half hour) prior to me hiring her, she had a game plan mapped out, what her planned outcome was, what the outcome may be at worst case scenario, and then what her fees were...
Thank you so much for your kind words, Mark. I really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience.

Honest and real
We hired Katherine to help is with a third party custody case. I wouldn't have anyone else represent us if I ever had to do this again. She listens to our concerns and applies them to come up with a way to voice them to the courts in a professional yet profound manner. She's honest from the get go in...

Custody Battle
Katherine did an amazing job of navigating through our complex custody battle. She was very therough and answered all of our emails in a very timely manner. When I dealt with Hailey she always stated she didn’t know how she could help me and directed me to Katherine- which was extremtly frustrating. ...
I am very sorry you had felt you a bad experience with our firm. I strive for the highest client satisfaction in every case and encourage you to contact me directly to discuss your concerns. I am always open to discussing any issues or concerns with all my clients and would encourage you to reach out to the firm to see what we can do. With that being said, I do believe it is important to note that this individual felt I did “an amazing job” of navigating through this complex custody battle but, again, I am very disappointed and sorry that this individual felt that they were unhappy with their overall experience due to financial issues. I should note that the individual posting this review was not in fact my client, but rather my client’s partner. Regardless, I understand that child custody cases can be very emotionally driven and, as this individual mentioned, I was very quick to follow up in a timely manner and worked thoroughly on the case. I do know this particular case and did reach out several times to my client who simply did not respond. Lack of communication can be frustrating not only for myself, as I can do nothing to help a client who will not participate in his/her case, but also frustrating for the client, who will receive several follow up emails from me in an effort to make sure there are no miscommunications. I also offered to help this particular client’s minor child and did not receive direction on how he/she wanted to proceed. I always stress the importance of communication and follow-through with my clients and if this does not occur very often there are misunderstandings such as this one. I wish this individual and family the best in the future and hope they were able to resolve all issues regarding the minor child. I always strive to represent my clients to the best of my ability and again would be more than happy to talk with this client and address any comments so that we can collectively figure out a solution.
