Practice areas

Prior to joining The Lawyers of Brown and Roberto, I practiced law in Nashville where I gained experience in employment discrimination claims, personal injury claims, will contests and breach of contract claims. I served as a judicial law clerk in the Tennessee Supreme Court. While practicing law in the Court, I assisted the Justices of the Court with complex legal research in the drafting of Court opinions. Before I became a lawyer, I served for four years as a policy advisor to Governor Phil Bredesen.

I am a Knoxville native. I graduated from Farragut High School where I captained the Cross Country Team. From there I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee and graduated Cum Laude. I also earned a Master of Arts in Philosophy from UT and my Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law.

In my free time, I still enjoy running, hiking the Smokies and traveling. The thing that I enjoy most about practicing law with The Lawyers of Brown & Roberto is the opportunity that I have to help others.

Highly Recommend!

I have been working with Tim concerning my worker’s compensation case. He was very up-front about cost/fees and what he could or could not do for me. He has exceeded my expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for helpful and effective counsel during your case or settlement. Workers Comp Nightmare

From the very start it was an uphill battle. Sadly, I realized shortly after my incident that the workers comp. company, Sedgwick, would just keep pushing me around until I obtained legal representation. Tim Roberto is educated and was able to answer all of my questions throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to make a “less than ideal” situation manageable. Without Tim, I’d still be no farther along in this process than I was on day one. My particular situation and maybe yours too, can never be made right. Tim cares, legitimately cares about his clients. He pushes for fast and justified actions every single time. He stayed on top of my case and notified me with/on every update. If you’re in need of representation, consider me having done the leg work for you. Tim and his team, Jamie, moved mountains for me.

Case

The law firm Brown and Roberto was highly recommended when I was searching for a good attorney. Tim Roberto took a case that was a headache from day one. EXCEPT EXPERIENXE

My elderly aunt was involved in an automobile accident being a passenger. My aunt sustained major injuries. From the first moment, Mr roberto put us all at ease. I also have give accolades to his paralegal; she was on the case in less than 24 hours later. Our experience with this law firm has been extremely pleasurable. Thank you mr. Tim roberto and staff.

Best decision I made was hiring Tim.

I thought I wanted a super aggressive attorney. Tim's demeanor ended up being just what I needed to get my business settled. He was calm, thoughtful, and smart. All Tim's actions were well thought out and that made for a smooth resolution that was in my best interest (I wasn't feeling so patient). Without naming names, Tim went up against some of the best attorneys in the state and had no problem dealing with their rather vile personalities. I would hire Tim without reservation and recommend him to anyone who has a valid legal claim they need help with. (Note: I worked with lawyers for years, that is why I answered more than 10 to the question below). Note I have never "sued" or taken action except in this instance. Tim resolved this in about 6 weeks, which is rather unheard of.

Attorney review

This law office was helpful. They were beneficial in closing a dispute be my former employer and me. The process was a long and slow one, that eventually resulted in a compromise between then and me. The only real draw back was the attorney rate was a bit expensive, but I agreed to the rate prior to hire of his services, so there was few surprises in that.
