I've met lawyers in the past for my initial divorce as well as to interview them to take on this case for me. None of them compare to JR. He is far and above the best lawyer you'll ever meet! I hired JR to amend my divorce/custody parenting schedule from 50/50 to me having full custody due to ongoing and increasing negative situations in my children's alternate living environment. JR listened to me and took detailed notes regarding my situation. He was engaging and friendly, and very honest. JR has a very calm and friendly demeanor, but he is very relatable. He is highly educated on child custody laws. He did an excellent job helping me understand the legal jargon, as well as all my rights in this situation. From our initial consultation, he encouraged me to keep detailed notes during any exchanges with my ex, and he also gave me additional tips on the how to get documentation that would help prove my case. JR remained in constant email and phone contact with me throughout the entire trial. He assisted me with filing orders of protection, emergency hearings, as well as the final court hearing. We attended mediation to attempt to resolve matters, and he gave me solid guidance during that time so that I was able to make reasonable demands to my ex. We did not reach an agreement, so our case went to trial. In trial, he was aggressive, thorough, and very knowledgable. He had a clear plan, and looked very prepared for whatever my ex had to say. It was obvious he had prepared ahead of time. We were 100% successful in solidly proving our case. My custody arrangement was changed in my favor, and I couldn't be more thankful! In my opinion, JR and his dedication/time/effort is worth far more than what he charges. Most lawyers charge a higher fee than he does, yet they give you far less in return in comparison. Do not look anywhere else for any other lawyer. JR is exactly who you should hire for you family law needs. He won't let you down. He will work harder than you, and no doubt he will do everything in his power to help you win! I'm thankful for everything he did for my family, and if ever I need any assistance in the future, JR is the only lawyer I will ever hire.

James was honestly the best decision I made for my custody case. I hired a lawyer prior to him for the same case and never felt confident in what how the situation was being handled. I was referred to Mr.Cook by a co-worker who had hired him for a similar issue, and naturally , when you've already sp...ent that much money hiring one attorney, I was nervous to take a chance on another one. After the first phone conversation I had with James , I knew I wanted him to represent my case. He made me feel confident in my fight which is something I hadn't felt with the previous attorney. Although he is a little quiet about his tactics leading up to court, he does keep you informed and makes sure he has everything he needs to be prepared beforehand. James cook is a wonderful lawyer and a wonderful person. He listened to every concern we had an answered every question. When the ex used our child in a vindictive manner he answered every phone call when we were obviously upset. During court he called the ex out on every lie and made sure the court ...was well aware of the facts. He fought for us and helped us win with everything that we wanted.
