My name is Joshua T. Crain and I was an Assistant District Attorney General in McMinnville, Tennessee for over six years before starting my private practice. I focus primarily on criminal defense, but also handle juvenile delinquency cases, divorce, family law matters, and DCS actions.
As a criminal attorney I have obtained aquittals by a jury in cases including felony murder, aggravated child abuse, and DUI. I put my extensive criminal law experience to work for my clients everyday, whether it's through negotiations with the District Attorney General's office or in the courtroom arguing motions or conducting jury trials.

Didn't Fight For Me

Replied last July 14, 2016I am sorry that my representation did not meet your expectations. I know now, as I did several months ago, why you were, and still are angry and I empathize with you. I have compassion for all of my clients that find themselves in a situation with no ideal resolution. I have to weigh the positive and negative implications for taking any specific course of action in a case. Whether a case reaches a settlement (as you did) or proceeds to trial, there are consequences, and sometimes those consequences are hard to accept. Because of that, I completely understand how easy it is to blame the attorney involved. Unfortunately, I am confined by the law. I might not agree with it, and often wish that it was different. I do not create the problems that my clients come to me with, but my staff and I work hard to represent our clients with a level of personal attention uncommon in the legal community.
