I am so please with Mr. Crain's work. Although, we are practicing social distancing and I was wasn't able to meet him personally, he kept in contact with me everyday while he was working from home. I am so please with the outcome of my case and will definitely, refer him and contact him in the futur...e!

No communication

Josh is inconsiderate and has a problem returning a phone call. I am uncertain if his office staff relays messages correctly. I retained him and did not speak to him again even though I phoned his office 4 times and left messages for him to contact me. I did not want an in-depth conversation with him... but merely wanted to know what to expect in Court. Less than 24 hours prior to the hearing, I phoned (the 4th time in almost a month) and requested he contact me. I was advised that I had to email his assistant with any questions. When I expressed that I simply wanted to speak with him for a few minutes, I was advised that he would not represent me anymore but would at the hearing the next day. He did a good job at the hearing but advised me that if I wanted someone to phone me, he was not that guy. My problem is that when I arrived at court, I had no idea what was going to happen. I had not spoken to him in a month. I did not call a lot. I am in the legal field and understand. I simply wanted to know what to expect at my hearing. He did refund a portion of the money I paid him but remained inconsiderate and unprofessional.

I know that the marketing folks say that I should respond by saying something like “I’m sorry you didn’t have the experience you were expecting with my office, etc., etc. etc.”. However, what you have written is, in some places, misleading, and other places outright false. You came to me for assistance with a DUI 2nd offense and the State had filed to have your bond revoked for your failure to follow bond conditions. In our initial consultation we discussed those issues at length. I communicated several times with the Assistant District Attorney handling your case, and moved the court date to one that worked for everyone. You were informed. It is true that you contacted my office after our initial meeting. First, you sent an e-mail to my staff demanding that I call you at a specific time on the same day the e-mail was sent. You were told that I was in court and would not be able to speak by telephone, but were offered to schedule an appointment, which you refused to do. Even after being told that I was unavailable that day, you insisted to my staff that you expected a call from me that day. After refusing to schedule a time to speak with me I did not hear from you again until less than 24 hours before our scheduled court date. And again it was a demand. My staff spoke to you and explained to you that I was in court in another county, but offered my e-mail address to you, as I would be able to e-mail while I was in court. You again refused that and instead demanded that I be told to call you, even if that meant calling you when I got home that evening. Despite your completely nasty attitude, I appeared in court just as I was expected to. I explained to you, your employer, and your friend what the State was attempting to do by revoking your bond, and what we were going to argue in order to defeat the State’s attempts. I did exactly that and you won. Your bond was not revoked. After winning the hearing, I refunded you all of the money you had paid me, not a portion of the money, as you put in your false review. Though I had worked on your case, prepared for the hearing, argued the hearing, and won the hearing, I kept nothing that you had paid me (which was less than half of what you owed), and instead advised you in a very considerate and professional manner that I felt you should find an attorney who would work under the demands that you make, but that it wasn’t me. I fully anticipated that you would leave a negative review for me, as such seems to be the primary method used today by people to try and destroy businesses. However, my office tries to work with anyone who needs our assistance, even those who appear to be perpetually angry, hateful, and nasty. But like all businesses, I refuse to be held hostage by those people, or allow those people to spread falsehoods about me.

Excellent Legal Counsel!

Josh did an excellent job in representing my granddaughter in a difficult situation. He was very professional and compassionate and took the time to explain everything that needed to be done in order to hopefully acheive the best outcome possible. He and his staff stayed on top of the situation and c...ommunicated frequently throughtout the day. This helped to minimize the additional stress that one has by being in court. We were from out of town and he made an extra effort to try and help expedite the case so a return trip to Murfreesboro would not be necessary. Her case was completed in one court appearance. I really appreciate his help with my granddaughters case and I would highly recommend him to anone needing legal services.

Adoption Case

We hired Mr. Crain to represent us in termination of parental rights and an adoption case and recently completed our last day in court yesterday. A friend recommended him to us after they went through a similar situation. We went to Mr. Crain in December 2015 and asked how we go about my husband's ad...opting my son so that he can legally sign for him in all aspects of his care. Mr. Crain explained that we have to petition to terminate the father's rights and once granted, we can move forward with adoption process. The father responded with an attorney and Mr. Crain gave me the option of continuing with court that day (to argue why I believe his rights should be terminated) or to give the father a final chance on record to prove himself or lack thereof. He advised me on the latter and I have to say it was hard at first but ultimately was the better decision because the father didn't even show up to the second hearing. Termination of rights was granted on the second hearing and the adoption was granted in April 2017. It was definitely a long battle but Mr. Crain and his staff did all the hard work. They were professional and courteous through the whole process (even when I relentlessly vented to them and apologized after for "taking their time", they never made me feel like they weren't our partners in this). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Thank you again!
