Caring and Smart Attorney

I was a witness to an emergency will signing in a hospital for a man who had only day to live. Mr. Miller made and delivered the will the same day. What was truly amazing was how he cared for all the parties involved. The family considered some things he said were legally improper. He was able to e...xplain the law to them and communicate with a family member in another country and bring them together on what needed to be done. It was so emotional, I had to leave the room. But, he never varied in his concern or legal professionalism. I was genuinely surprised an attorney could be so empathetic. I would hire him without a reservation.

If I could give zero stars, I would. He's a conman.

Believe every bad review of this man. He'll prey on you with your situation, hound you for the retainer fee and then disappear into oblivion! First contact was in January after my sister passed away in December. Second contact was him calling to ask about our situation and what we wanted the outcome ...to be in February. Third contact was him HOUNDING us for the retainer fee in March. Once that was paid, the next time we heard from him was when we had to call from blocked numbers DEMANDING a refund in late April. Since then, not a word. He said he'd get started on paperwork and has since disappeared. He WILL ABSOLUTELY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! I have already contacted the BBB with a formal complaint as well as the Tennessee Bar Association. Both have already contacted me in regards to the complaints and are doing everything they can to rectify this. I have receipts, proof of my 30 calls which he admittedly said he was ignoring and the dozen emails I've sent unanswered by him over the last 5 months. Going up to his office is pointless. I've done that. He is never there. He is a liar and how he has a license to practice law STILL is beyond me. I'm in contact with another law firm about his negligence and legal malpractice. Do not hire him. Do not talk to him. Do not even go to his website. It's all a façade.

This is a ridiculous review. I had several calls with this client and an extensive meeting with this client at my office. Sure, the client called repeatedly, but 5-10 calls in a single hour without an emergency is harassment, not reasonable communication. Filing this case was delayed because the client wants to accomplish an outcome that is significantly different than what state law dictates. To do so requires consent of a third party. The client instructed me not to proceed with filing the case until we either obtained the third party’s consent or determined consent would not be forthcoming. I promptly prepared ALL documents, including sophisticated assignments of interest, deeds, letters, petitions and other docs. I attempted to contact the third party for several weeks to no avail. I asked the client for assistance contacting the third party by she did not respond. When the client had not seen progress, instead of contacting me or scheduling a meeting using my appointment scheduler, she filed a bar complaint, refused to communicate with me, and has had made her own situation worse than it should have been. Meanwhile the client has ALL of the legal work product I have produced, which amounts to a few thousand dollars worth.

Irresponsible and Insensible

I hired Mitchell last December to be my divorce counsel. He seems knowledgable, but he lack of transparency, his lack of ethics and his disorganization are traits that make him an appalling lawyer. Going through a divorce is a very stressful moment as it is, and having Mitchell as a lawyer made thin...gs much more challenging. Don't hire him!

Horrible communication

I hired Mr. Miller 5 months ago. I have paid him and everything and he has yet to do anything for my case. I tried to get my money back through my bank but it was too late. It is truly sad to me that he could take someone's money and never respond to them. I have called, emailed, and even gone to his... office with no response. If you are looking for his office he refuses to give the suite number that he is in and no one will come to greet you either. I am determined to make sure that he cannot do this to someone else, I have to start over from the beginning and come up with another retainer for a different lawyer. So disappointed.

Complete lack of communication

He does the bare minimum. No returned calls/emails, nothing. He was working something for my husband and then completely left him in the dark. Highly recommend finding someone else.

"I am endorsing attorney Miller based upon his outstanding responses on Avvo to individuals who need assistance with business law issues. It is clear that Mr. Miller firmly grasps business law issues and can educate individuals about their options. Recently, I read one of Mr. Miller's responses which went above and beyond what most attorneys do to assist individuals on Avvo. It is refreshing to see attorneys such as Mr. Miller provide thorough and complete business explanations regarding the U.C.C. and the options individuals have under the same. I have no doubt that Mr. Miller would do just as much if not more for clients fortunate enough to retain him. Sincerely, Ahad Syed"
