Makes a divorce more acrimonious!

This lawyer tried to take me to jail because I would not sign an unfair settlement. My own lawyer said I would go to jail. I said ok. I had to give $3,000 to this lawyer so I would not go to jail. I only WONDER what would have happened if I had not had my tax returns. He would ask a judge to send me ...to jail. He took the judges decision first and said I would go to jail. This is trickery. It caused the divorce to stretch out for another whole year. He wanted to do a lot of mean things and he did. The judge said I did not have to pay my husband's legal fees but yet he was able to garnish money from my bank account. Money that I needed to support myself. He did not care he wanted all the money he could squeeze out of me. Why not one of his more afluent clients. Does he have afluent clients? He is financialy driven and iif you cannot pay he is going to deny representation to clients if they lose the ability to pay when they need him most.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
