About Kara
Biography
Kara Reese was born and raised in Miami, Florida and lived there until she went off to college at age 18.
She graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Elon University where she met her husband, Tyler. She then earned her Master of Science in Biology from the Ohio State University while her husband attended medical school there.
During her time as a research biologist Kara published three peer-reviewed papers focused in the study of Ecology as well as publishing her Master's Thesis.
Kara and her husband moved to Nashville in May of 2013 for Tyler to begin his residency at Vanderbilt University. Kara decided to leave biology behind for a career in law and subsequently applied to Belmont University College of Law.
She graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Belmont University College of Law in 2017 and passed the Tennessee Bar Exam that same year.
After graduation and passing the bar exam, Kara decided to open her own law practice focusing on Domestic Relations and Family Law in downtown Nashville, right across the street from the Historic Courthouse.
In her spare time, Kara enjoys cooking, painting, volunteering with Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, and fantasy football.
