Would not recommend

I hired Lindsey Davis in March 2021 to expedite my parentage plan & dissolution of partnership. Lindsay failed to offer any expectation on how we best communicate during the process. I would email a simple question and not receive communication back for 1 to 2 weeks. I would call the office to make a...n appointment to speak with her and while she was prompt about maintaining a call back schedule she failed on clarity and transparency. Lindsay was not certain how to handle my case and would question with me if she should file a petition or if she should reach my ex partner. Next steps remained unclear throughout the handling of my case. I left feeling confused and would often contact other attorneys to find out the best way to handle my case. When Lindsey provided documentation for dissolution of the property the numbers would not be correct and there would be "guestimates" once corrections were made. Once the petition of parentage was filed in court I requested to know how my ex partner would receive the info that it was filed. Lindsay's associate attorney told me that I could have someone I know over the age of 18 deliver the petition of parentage to my ex partner, they could have it served to him for a fee of $75, or I could speak with him and let him know he could pick it up from their office. I have since hired another attorney that mailed him the petition and even emailed it with a read receipt. Again, this shows that I was left without any knowledge of how my case should be handled. When I would send Lindsey emails and provide her with information it went unnoticed as she would ask the same information over the phone. Not for purposes of understanding, but with questions as if I never explained it. The billing with their firm is also not consistent. They tend to run three months behind. This was my first experience with an attorney and it was less than pleasant. As I said before I found new representation, and hate the fact I will be out a large sum of money for nothing performed.
