After retaining Mr. Latta’s firm for a DHR case i was unfortunately involved in and attempting numerous times to receive a refund before any services were even provided because it was evident from the start this firm is greedy and only cares about money paid $2500 for reading a few emails filing a no...tice of appearance and driving 200 miles round trip for one court appearance that didn’t even go before the judge before being settled at max 45 minutes … i’ll give it to him at max he worked 8 hours on my case which would give him $2500 but he has the nerve and audacity to send me a final bill for $2000 that will be sent to collections !!! Do not hire him, i could have went in with any out of county attorney and got the same results!!!

Now that my divorce and custody hearing are over I am changing my review for this worthless Lawyer. About one month before it was time to go to court after dragging out for almost a year he bailed out on me because I sent him too many emails. I would not have had to send 985 emails had he answered e...ven 20 of those. Fortunately, my ex-husband and I settled without him and I am sure that I got more than I would have. Had he stayed with me. Do not be fooled by the fact that he is a member of a Christian lawyers society, because he does not function as a Christian. Basically all of the emails that he answered for the most part were ones where I offered to send more money and that is what he is all about . The final month of my case which was the most important I was instructed by him to no longer send him emails but to filter them through his assistant Brandy. I sent her five emails within 20 days and got no reply from her either. Then I got a message from him, saying that he was withdrawing from my case. I paid him over $6000 for nothing. Always beware of a lawyer who bites his fingernails to the quick and bounces his leg up and down repeatedly. He had the audacity to say that I had mental problems and I believe the two set above things prove that he also has mental problems , just beware. I paid him for subpoenas that were never done and for many other things that were never accomplished. He says he is overworked, but I say he is lazy and money hungry.

My divorce case was complicated by my former spouse filing an ex parte order alleging (falsely) that I was a danger to her and my kids because I'm under psychiatric care. I interviewed two other lawyers, one who seemed ready to concede before even starting and another who wanted to jump straight to b...lood and guts warfare. Brad struck the right balance between being willing and able to negotiate a favorable settlement and being willing to fight for me if my spouse refused to budge (which is what ultimately happened). Brad did a very good job explaining what I should expect in my deposition and on the stand. But what was most valuable to me is the way he kept his patience throughout the year-long process, which was filled with lots of delays and unpredictable actions (or inaction) from the court. I consciously tried not to be "that client" who pestered him all the time, but as the months went by and I became more antsy, he stayed level-headed and helped calm me without ever coming off as frustrated or condescending. After numerous delays, the case ultimately went to trial and the judge finally ruled almost three months later. I had my full parental rights restored and standard visitation thanks to his skill and willingness to see things through.

I felt the process fit my needs. My main concerns were speed, cost and amount of interaction since I work away from the area most the time. The paperwork was minimal and it was well organized. I was given clear expectations and advice to help get me to my goals. I felt that we were able to get t...he results I most wanted. I have worked with lawyers in the past that asked me to do things I was uncomfortable with all in the name of winning and was pleased to find that I was not asked to do these things. My case was built with my expectations and interest in mind. This was more than I expected when I began searching for legal advice.

I called Brad last year while I was going through my divorce. He made it as easy as I could have asked. The worst attorneys I've used in the past have been the ones that weren't realistic with me from the start, even if they thought they were telling me what I wanted to hear. I told Brad from day one... I wanted the truth, and he never sugarcoated it. In the end I knew what to expect and he helped me through each court appearance. When my cousin got divorced in Foley I recommended Brad and he had the same experience. Divorce and family issues are hard but calling Brad was the best decision I could have made.
