Biography
Over the past twelve years I've represented more than a thousand clients charged with all levels of misdemeanors and felonies. As an Assistant Public Defender in Tallahassee I represented clients facing the death penalty and developed skill and experience in the complex litigation and mitigation work required in capital cases.
Death penalty cases require the ability to handle multiple experts in a wide variety of fields, to challenge forensic evidence, to investigate and develop mitigation through extensive review of records, interviewing witnesses, and exploring the impact of mental illness and substance abuse.
