""Bar None the worst" attorney in Pasco County.""

I initially hired Allison in 2011 where she represented me in my divorce case, from a very bitter ex-wife. Divorce went smoothly through the grace of the excellent mediator, & Allison's friendly approach (befriending the mediator & making her one of her cronies) at that moment in time. Since then, Al...lison struck out in many different law firms, because of her poor practice & relationships with her clients. Seven years later in 2018, ex-wife hit rock bottom & my kids wanted to come live with me, I requested Allison once again thinking this case would have went well if I just had a great lawyer to represent me in my custody battle for my kids. To my surprise, I should have done a lot more homework on my now retained attorney, Allison Belcher in March 2018. As pleasing & inviting that the "Knox & Belcher law firm website" may sound, the service that Allison A. Belcher provides is far off from what they try to sell you on this "VERY WELL DESIGNED WEBSITE", with paralegals, Attorney Managers, & attorney assistants, including secretaries, staff, etc.; that are very CLUELESS, on how to run a professional office. Shortly after retained, I ran into her very rude paralegal (Tereasa), that ultimately, I had to dismiss her from my case, due to her lousy & careless mistakes she made on very important court documents, no communication skills & poor attitude. Not to mention no memory retention & full of lies. I can't speak upon attorney Knox, because she did not represent me & I had no business with her, but I can only imagine it won't take long before this law firm realizes who is the weak link attorney & Allison strikes out once again. I can only recommend to stay away from retaining Allison A. Belcher due to her very poor practices, & far off the charts exaggerations made about her personal experience in law. If you had the curiosity & wanted to check for yourself, please note that her picture on this "Golden dream Website", doesn't even look like her. One year to the date later March, 20TH 2019, & a wasted $3,500. USD & valuable time? I have to hire another attorney to finish what she could not accomplish.

I am sorry you are not happy with my representation and our Paralegal. That is why we offered you to work with another paralegal in our firm as we realize sometimes people can have conflicting personalities. However, we have not had any other complaints regarding our Paralegal, Teresa. Furthermore, in my almost 20 years of practice I have worked for the State of Florida for over 6 years, worked at a firm doing Insurance Defense and the last firm I worked at I left after almost 10 years at the same firm. Therefore, your statement that I struck out in many different law firms is false as I represented you at the last law firm I worked at for 10 years before opening my current firm. I wish you the best in your case.

Don't hire Allison Belcher

Allison was very unprofessional about my case. She sided with my ex-wife. She asked to resign from my case the very next day after she failed to produce results. Very money hungry, when I asked for her to give me my money back or show me where my money went, she sent out a fee stating $180 for a phon...e conversations. $250 for submitting documents that only took 5 minutes. $100s here and there but nothing to show for it. A lot of people told me not to hire Allison, against my better judgement, she seemed concerned about me and my needs. I would recommend that you find a lawyer that is more experienced. Allison Belcher is horrible. Save your time and your money. You have waited enough time even thinking of hiring her.

Modification

First off, I was never given what has been explained to me by my new attorney to be basic family law 101 questions which were forwarded to Allison almost a year before I was given them to answer and the opposing counsel had me looking like I was failing to respond to the questions pertaining my matte...r. Then to top it all off while in court discussions where had by all, however an order was drawn up by opposing counsel to which I rebutted and made corrections. The corrections were never made by Allison or her paralegal and now I have an order in place to which I had to hire a new attorney to handle. While in court Allison came to the Judges table with 3, ill say it again 3 pieces of paper, 1 was her argument and the other 2 were scratch paper, meanwhile my entire legal binder was left sitting on the chair behind us, next to the deputy. People had subpoena's issued but were never questioned by her. However they were on time and prompt about payments and withdraws from the account. When asked to speak with her boss about this situation, it took them well over a week to get back to me and then when I asked for help with this matter, I was told to do whatever I had to do, no relief would be afforded and that his attorneys are not bound to disclose all information regarding YOUR case in reference to negotiations. I had two paralegals assigned to my case both of which really had no desire to assist me with any answers except give me the proverbial, "Ill ask the attorney and get back with you" however the charges for that answer continued. Very DISSAPOINTED with the professionalism shown and the ETHICS involved. I am moving forward with this to a HIGHER LEVEL that is responsible for overseeing the conduct of attorneys, as I believe this seems to be a trend with this Firm and someone has to be held accountable for these actions. I say these things not out of anger but the truth, lawyers cannot be held accountable for what a Judge decides however there is work that is EXPECTED to be completed on behalf of a client and as a LAWYER you should do your job to the fullest of your potential, shortcuts should never be taken as these situations impact the lives of CHILDREN and ADULTS for a good majority of time.

Almost got me arrested

Did not go to my court hearing then did not follow up issueing me a bench warrant. I found out when I called my bondsman. Did not follow up with the case and things still weren't settled after 6 months. She does not need to be practicing law.

I am sorry you are unhappy with the representation. I followed the judicial procedure in the circuit where your case was handled. I am an experienced attorney who has handled hundreds of cases similar to yours in this circuit who are very happy with my representation. Furthermore, you continued my representation and your case is currently closed with no conviction. If you have concerns about my representation, please feel free to contact the Partners, Alberto Ayo or Howard Iken, 727-844-7676.

Lack of Communication and Listening, Non Responsive

I was a client of Allison and she basically went off and did her own thing with my case. She did not include my wishes in her decision making. It has cost me a lot more money having her for counsel due to the improper filing and lack of thinking through down stream impacts from my case. I think if... it is a simple divorce case she can handle but not anything complex. I had to hire someone new to clean up the mess she left in my case.
