I have called the Tampa Bay area my home since 1983 and am a graduate of Pasco high in Dade City, Florida. I attended the University of Tampa on an academic scholarship where I received a B.S. in criminology. After college, I worked as a misdemeanor probation officer, supervising mostly DUI offenders for several years. I attended Stetson College of Law and was admitted into the Florida Bar in the year 2000. I started my legal career in the Office of the Public Defender in Pasco County where I spent six years as a criminal defense attorney. After the Public Defender’s office, I began working in the Office of the Attorney General, in Hillsborough County representing the Department of Children and Family in Dependency cases. I have spent the last ten years representing men and women in Family Law cases and criminal cases at Ayo and Iken PLC, with my main focus on Divorce, Child Support, alimony, equitable distribution and child custody cases.
My background gives me a strong foundation in procedural and courtroom practice. I am able to think quickly on my feet in tense, emotional situations and have the tools and experience to handle the toughest family and criminal cases. My personal life and upbringing have given me the ability to relate to my clients. I know firsthand what it is like when families face tough legal issues and what it looks like on the other side of those issues. I want each of my clients to know that with me they have an advocate who will stand by them through the divorce or criminal process and will fight for what is important to them. It is possible to come out on the other side of your legal issues better and stronger.

""Bar None the worst" attorney in Pasco County.""
I initially hired Allison in 2011 where she represented me in my divorce case, from a very bitter ex-wife. Divorce went smoothly through the grace of the excellent mediator, & Allison's friendly approach (befriending the mediator & making her one of her cronies) at that moment in time. Since then, Al...
I am sorry you are not happy with my representation and our Paralegal. That is why we offered you to work with another paralegal in our firm as we realize sometimes people can have conflicting personalities. However, we have not had any other complaints regarding our Paralegal, Teresa. Furthermore, in my almost 20 years of practice I have worked for the State of Florida for over 6 years, worked at a firm doing Insurance Defense and the last firm I worked at I left after almost 10 years at the same firm. Therefore, your statement that I struck out in many different law firms is false as I represented you at the last law firm I worked at for 10 years before opening my current firm. I wish you the best in your case.

Don't hire Allison Belcher
Allison was very unprofessional about my case. She sided with my ex-wife. She asked to resign from my case the very next day after she failed to produce results. Very money hungry, when I asked for her to give me my money back or show me where my money went, she sent out a fee stating $180 for a phon...
I do believe this is the same person who posted the last review this same day March 20, 2019. I again am sorry that you are unhappy with the representation.

Modification
First off, I was never given what has been explained to me by my new attorney to be basic family law 101 questions which were forwarded to Allison almost a year before I was given them to answer and the opposing counsel had me looking like I was failing to respond to the questions pertaining my matte...

Almost got me arrested
Did not go to my court hearing then did not follow up issueing me a bench warrant. I found out when I called my bondsman. Did not follow up with the case and things still weren't settled after 6 months. She does not need to be practicing law.
I am sorry you are unhappy with the representation. I followed the judicial procedure in the circuit where your case was handled. I am an experienced attorney who has handled hundreds of cases similar to yours in this circuit who are very happy with my representation. Furthermore, you continued my representation and your case is currently closed with no conviction. If you have concerns about my representation, please feel free to contact the Partners, Alberto Ayo or Howard Iken, 727-844-7676.

Lack of Communication and Listening, Non Responsive
I was a client of Allison and she basically went off and did her own thing with my case. She did not include my wishes in her decision making. It has cost me a lot more money having her for counsel due to the improper filing and lack of thinking through down stream impacts from my case. I think if...
"Allison is highly knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced in all matters of family law. Despite her tremendous skill in trial advocacy, Allison is just as good - if not better - at achieving settlements. Her advocacy of collaborative practice and her ability to understand all sides of an issue is unique and superior. I endorse this lawyer."
"Allison is a highly skilled attorney who takes her responsibilities seriously. She promptly responds to email and phone calls and is not afraid to argue on behalf of her clients. Her tenaciously works to get her clients the best result possible . I highly recommend her."
"Ms. Belcher has a remarkable understanding of the family law practice. She understands the "big picture" and is able to truly connect with her clients. I highly recommend Ms. Belcher for your divorce or custody action."
