I have called the Tampa Bay area my home since 1983 and am a graduate of Pasco high in Dade City, Florida. I attended the University of Tampa on an academic scholarship where I received a B.S. in criminology. After college, I worked as a misdemeanor probation officer, supervising mostly DUI offenders for several years. I attended Stetson College of Law and was admitted into the Florida Bar in the year 2000. I started my legal career in the Office of the Public Defender in Pasco County where I spent six years as a criminal defense attorney. After the Public Defender’s office, I began working in the Office of the Attorney General, in Hillsborough County representing the Department of Children and Family in Dependency cases. I have spent the last ten years representing men and women in Family Law cases and criminal cases at Ayo and Iken PLC, with my main focus on Divorce, Child Support, alimony, equitable distribution and child custody cases.
My background gives me a strong foundation in procedural and courtroom practice. I am able to think quickly on my feet in tense, emotional situations and have the tools and experience to handle the toughest family and criminal cases. My personal life and upbringing have given me the ability to relate to my clients. I know firsthand what it is like when families face tough legal issues and what it looks like on the other side of those issues. I want each of my clients to know that with me they have an advocate who will stand by them through the divorce or criminal process and will fight for what is important to them. It is possible to come out on the other side of your legal issues better and stronger.

Excellent Attorney
Allison was my attorney for my divorce. She was very professional and always returned calls and emails. In court my experience with Allison was fantastic as she stood up to the opposing attorney and stopped her right in her tracks when she tried to argue against why I should not get the terms I was l...

When I met her to discuss my options for a divorce, she was very thorough, kind and compassionate, I tried doing my divorce on my own and should have went back, but she was gone and I didnt want to start over with a new attorney. They would not tell me where she went and I did not think of searching ...

Dishonest
I had a consult with Ms. Belcher a few months ago. I wanted to meet in New Port Richey on US 19. Her paralegal Teresa suggested I meet at the Wesley Chapel office. I really wanted a male attorney but Teresa told me none were available at that time and Ms. Belcher could do the consult and possibly it...
There are many reasons that I have advised a client to wait to file a case. Waiting until I left Ayo and Iken is not one of them. There are strict rules imposed by the Florida Bar that all attorneys must follow when leaving a law firm. The Florida Bar requires that all clients are given a choice as to whether they want to continue to be represented by the leaving attorney or stay with the law firm the attorney is leaving, regardless of when the client retains or the case is filed. All of my clients were given that option. Many of my clients came to my new employment, and some stayed with Ayo and Iken. I respect everyone's decisions and wish them well. I have questioned all staff at my new firm and the phone call described in this review was never received nor would any staff be instructed to state that every attorney at Ayo and Iken has left and is now working at the Law Office of Knox and Belcher. I did not give my new firm number to a prospective client a few months ago as my new firm did not even have a phone number a few months ago. Ayo and Iken currently employs male attorney's at the office located on US 19 that I am sure will be able to adequately represent you.

great advice, honest and budget conscience
Ms. Belcher, gave me great advice, she was honest, budget conscience and went above and beyond for my case and my children. I had an especially hard time getting my child support started and she explained to me the process to get the child support started. Although I was frustrated, she understoo...
