The best decision of my adult life was hiring Mr. Ellzey...
Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with a previous, separate legal counsel (of a different firm), and it struck me with a terribly negative outlook on not only my situation, but my ability to draw it out to conclusion. I was scared, depressed, and quickly losing hope. I had met with a multitude of different attorneys, and all of the consultations went exactly the same - they didn't listen. They weren't concerned about what I had been through. They didn't listen to my wants or needs. They didn't understand opposing counsel, and they surely didn't care about the extensive notes and evidence that I had journaled over the previous year. Their only concern, however, was found in my current financial situation, to ensure that they could, and would, be compensated. I had been down that road once before - and quite honestly, I didn't want to go back again.
I had seen the Ayo & Iken TV commercials, and had heard the spots on the radio. To be frank, I thought the firm was “out of my league”, and that I wouldn’t be able to afford the level of representation that the firm’s reputation had conveyed. Regardless, I requested a consultation and was at the office in a few days.
From the beginning of my consultation with Mr Ellzey, it felt different. The atmosphere, the conversation, the concern – all of it felt as if I was speaking with a family member. Mr. Ellzey was professional, courteous, and compassionate. Most of all, he actually listened. I wasn’t immediately dismissed as a young client, or viewed as another number on a balance sheet. The entire interaction made me feel comfortable and better prepared. Agreeing to Mr. Ellzey’s representation was one of the best decisions of my adult life.
Since our initial consultation together, everything moved along incredibly fast. Based on my previous experience, I was nervously under the impression that this new process was going to add another year onto the entire saga. I couldn’t have been more wrong. In a period of less than a few weeks, Mr. Ellzey and his team had done more for me than previous counsel had done in over 9 months. Everything was seamless, from start to finish. I never once had to chase them down for questions or answers, or ever once felt like I was being dismissed or not taken seriously. It was a much-needed reprieve from what I had initially expected.
However, I was most impressed with Mr. Ellzey’s professional and courteous tenacity. He was not afraid to work for me. He was not afraid to get things moving. He was not afraid to get this part of my life over with. Even during a day when he wasn’t feeling well, and didn’t make it to the office, he still took the time to speak with me on the phone to calm my nerves prior to our mediation conference. I never once thought he didn’t have my best interests in mind – the thought of it didn’t even cross my mind.
During our many conversations, Mr. Ellzey mentioned to me on a few occasions regarding his thoughts and outlook on mediation conferences. He set very realistic expectations for me, and ensured that I understood the adage that, “no one truly wins,” in these type of situations. In all honesty, I may need to respectfully disagree with his outlook; I am insanely satisfied with the conclusion and the agreement we were able to receive – and while I may not have “won” in a competitive sense, I truly believe I won with my superior legal counsel.
All in all, it’s impossible for me to properly convey my gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Ellzey and his team. Their hard work, dedication and commitment to my case was outstanding, and will be something I’ll never forget. It is my hope that none of my friends or family members will ever have to experience a similar legal situation, but, in my experience, Mr. Ellzey and his team should be the first and only consultation they’ll ever have.
Thank you Mr. Ellzey, from the bottom of my heart.

This is probably the nicest thing anyone has said to me. I really love my profession but if I needed motivation - this review would give me that. It was a pleasure helping you!
