Biography
Andy is a native of Florida. He was born and raised in South Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, obtaining a BA in Political Science in 1987 and later earning his JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1990. Mr. Pozzuto remained in the North Central Florida area after obtaining his law degree and has practiced in Marion, Alachua, Lake, Citrus and Sumter counties. Mr. Pozzuto is an experienced litigator He has tried over 50 cases before a jury. In 1999, he joined the law firm of Alavi and Bird, P.A. as a full partner. Mr. Pozzuto practices in the areas of Criminal Defense and Federal Criminal Defense. He has prepared and tried criminal cases ranging from Driving Under the Influence (DUI), violations of probation and simple misdemeanor batteries to all types of felonies including Drug cases, sex cases and homicide cases.
In addition, Mr. Pozzuto is active in the local community. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors for the Ocala Lions Club, is a former President of the Marion County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and for three years assisted local high school kids in preparing for a State of Florida mock trial competition.

ripped off
